Subject: Definition Media Transparency
In light of potential confusion regarding the term Media Transparency, I have taken it
upon myself to explain Media Transparency thoroughly. In the field of journalism, there are
numerous terms and concepts that only those in the field would recognize. However, Media
Transparency is relevant in many areas in addition to journalism. The common public may hear it
used in reference to politics or a companys press releases.
I initially took the term Media Transparency and provided its definition as related to
journalism. I used a comic related to politics and media transparency to depict and better
understanding of what media transparency is. I then described why media transparency is
relevant to our society and why it has an important role in media functions. Additionally, I
related media transparency to corruption and why it is essential to end corruption.
I believe that by breaking down the term Media Transparency into laymens terms, people
will have a better understanding of its importance in society.
