Reflection
The workplace that these meeting will take place in is an elementary school. The
meetings will be with all of the teachers and focus on their health and wellness in the
workplace as well as how they can pass these skills on to their students in the classroom.
Each month, the teachers will be learning about and looking at a different holistic
approach. Teaching can be a very stressful job for teachers. Working long hours, with
numerous kids to look after and having to lesson plan and implement everything they
need to on a daily basis is a lot of work and pressure. It is very common for teachers to
experience stress, especially if it is their first year teaching. If untreated, the stress can
lead to an unhealthy and unhappy lifestyle, which in turn could cause the teachers to quit
their job. Depending on the age of the student, stress can also rub off on them and affect
their learning and happiness in the classroom. The goal of these meetings is to avoid this
horrible idea, and to keep our teachers and students happy, healthy and successful. At the
end of the six months, teachers should have a good idea about each of the six holistic
approaches, how to implement them into their lives and their students lives, which will in
return reduce stress in the workplace and lead them through a happy and healthy career
and lifestyle.
