exploring tables pertaining to the features.
3. The concepts of topology (i.e. how spatial features relate to one another).
4. To become familiar with how data is displayed and queried, and
how meaningful output is created.
STEPS :
EXAMINE SOME FEATURE LAYERS AND THEIR ORGANIZATION
1. Launch the ArcMap application.
Hint:
i. For Layer, click Street
ii. For Fields, double-click STR_NAME
iii. Click the = button from the list of operators
iv. For Unique values, double-click TENNESSEE
v. Click Apply > OK
After finished, on the menu bar, click selection > Clear Selected
Features.
Practical Highlights:
1. Identify how many Layers in the Table of Contents and state in what
spatial features that represents by each layer
2. To examine the spatial relationships between features in a map, by using
visually How does spatial relationship can help you to identify relationship
for different features/layers? Explain with some examples.
3. To associate descriptive information with a layer;
*Briefly describe the information found in the Attribute Table. (Hint: types
of Class Description, relationship between Street ID and Address).
*Print-screen the Attributes Table for Street layer.
*Print-screen the Attribute Table for Donut layer.
*How many records are present in the Donut layer attribute table?
*How does the attributes can help you to identify specific request (i.e.,
location)?
