About The Workshop :

This course is designed to assist individuals throughout the financial, coal and petroleum industries understand Coal Seam
Gas (CBM). This will cover the entire CBM project spectrum, from exploration to production, and is intended to provide an
introduction to those who are new to the CBM industry yet show relevant case histories for those currently working on
ongoing CBM projects. This course will explain about CBM reservoir properties such as properties that control GIP and fluid
flow. Overall, you will get the basic reservoir engineering for CBM, exploration drilling fundamentals, and technical about

Who Should Attend :

Petroleum engineers, mining engineers and geologists who wish to understand the differences between conventional and CBM

projects
Potential investors in CBM projects, and financial analysts
CBM managers who wish to understand the drivers behind CBM variability across a range of basins, and achieve a global

perspective on how their play compares with others

Anyone wishing to improve their basic understanding of CBM.

Cancellation, Substitution & Non Attendance Policy:

Tuition fees are transferable but not refundable. Notification is required to substitute another participant, no later 5
working days prior to the program, should the nominated person be unable to attend. Late cancellation sometimes
causes event to be abandoned. Non attendance participant will be full charged as all preparations will have been done.

About Instructor :
Dr. Alan Bayrak is multi-disciplinary Exploration Geologist with 20 years of international exploration experience in oil-gas
and coal areas in various geographical territories, including Queensland, New South Wales, Otway Basin, Irish Midlands,
Thrace Basin, Western Black Sea and Carpathians, Kalimantan and Sumatra. He extensively worked entire upstream cycle
and extensive exposure to coalbed methane (CBM) and coal explorations. He experienced in preparation/management and
execution of CBM exploration drilling programs and CBM prospects. Moreover, from 2005, he provide technical consultancty
services to a number of companies for Coal Seam Gas Exploration, Shale Gas and CBM Portfolio Management, for example LNG
Japan Corporation (Technical evaluation of the South Kalimantan CBM prospects), Energi Mega Persada (Managed SangattaII and Tabulako CBM Explortion and Production Programs), Caddy Energy (Consultancy for CBM development and
