Nowadays our students are growing up in a technological world. Using technology is a
massive part of their everyday experience out of school. Through multi websites our
students have access to a wide variety of data, content and resources. And as educators
our role is to integrate this word to our students education to make it more enjoyable,
acceptable and familiar as well to them and to their needs.

Describe and cite the relevant research that supports the plans outcomes.
Technology integration for the new 21st century learner. January/February, 2012.
Today's students need educators to re-envision the role of technology in the classroom

The new 21st century learners must master more than the core curriculum to succeed
in secondary and postsecondary institutions, as well as in the workplace.(Nancye
Blair,2012)

Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.
The connection between the research and the plans goal is that technology has the
power needed to make learning and teaching as well easier processes and unique .And
this can be done through the opportunity of offering the recourses, and data needed in
order to accumulate these processes.

Describe information gathered from site visits, including best practices.

In her article Technology integration for the new 21st century learner ,(Nancye
Blair,2012) said The Partnership for 21st Century Skills, a national organization
advocating for 21st century readiness for every student, explains the outcomes of this
transformation as fusing the traditional three Rs with four Cs: critical thinking, creativity,
communication, and collaboration. We must increasingly put technology into the hands
of students and must trust them with more progressive technology use.

CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.

The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using

telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

There is a computer lab with 25 computers, two printers and a scanner. And there is a
technology room that has a head projector, smart board and a laptop that can be prereserved by the teachers according to their needs for example special presentations
,explaining certain materials or projects.
How does technology assist with student assessment?
Nowadays technology provides teachers and educators a variety of tools that can be
used in their assessment process. Also, these tools can help administrators to evaluate
and asses the teachers performance as well, where their work will be more productive in
the future.

Is technology currently available to all students?

Yes, it is available through the technology classes that given to students twice per week
for each grade level, and through the projects that their teachers ask them to work on for
example science projects.
Do all student groups have equal and appropriate access to the available
technology?
All students have the access to the computer lab twice per week in addition to
the opportunity to stay after school to work on their projects if they need.
How will technology be used to create more powerful learning experiences
to improve student academic achievement?
We can improve our students academic achievement by offering our teachers and
administrators professional development courses and encouraging them to attend
seminars in order to update their technology knowledge and to know how to integrate
technology more in their classrooms and school as well. And ,also by providing the
school with the technological tools needed to help the teachers and administrators to
accomplish their goals.
What options exist to fund technology over time?
Different type of technological competitions can be done for our students in various
categories and different grade levels and the fee for participation can be used to raise

additional funds.

What are the LEAs curriculum goals and plans for assisting students
to meet technology literacy and information literacy skills?
Provide the schools staff with the opportunity for attending workshops and seminars
to learn how to appropriately integrate technology in their lesson plans and
classrooms.
How are technology and information literacy skills embedded in
content area lessons? Are specific courses offered that address these
skills?
By encouraging our students to participate in technological competition indifferent
preferable categories, we can transfer and fix the information theyve learned in their
classes into the real world.
How and when will teachers and/or librarians help students acquire Internet
safety skills?
At the begging of the school year, the technology teachers and the librarian
arrange a meeting to tell the students about the importance of technology in
our lives, focus on the schools technology policy, the risk of cyber bullying and
the restrictions that has been applied for their safety.
What materials will be used to instruct students about Internet safety,
including how to use technologies to protect themselves and their privacy
online?
In order for our school to avoid online risk, its plan is to use keyword detection, blocks
and filters combined with acceptable use limitations.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT

The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Do teachers have the classroom management strategies to work with the

amount of technology actually available in the classrooms?
Our plan is to let our teachers attend seminars and workshops to update their classroom
management capabilities that allow them to integrate technology in their lesson plans
and then in their classrooms.
Are administrators able to support teachers with the integration of
technology into daily curriculum?
Our administrators plan is to provide every classroom with a computer, smart board, and
projector and encourage our teachers to attend professional development courses in
order to update their classroom management and be qualified to integrate technology in
their lesson plans.
What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators
can effectively use technology to assist with student assessment?
Every year and before the beginning of the academic year, the school will offer free
professional development courses for the teachers and administrators in order to update
their technology knowledge and help them to effectively use technology in order to assist
with students assessment. Also, during the year there will be two seminars held by
professionals in the field for the same purpose.
What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators
can make informed decisions using data to meet individual student
academic needs?
As weve mentioned in the previous question about adding the quick school
software where students outcome, scores and assessments will be accessible for
teachers, administrators, parents and students as well. Spelling and pronouncing
software for non-native speakers will be available. Science and math activities and quiz
reviews and assessments will be available. Teachers and coordinators can be in touch
through this software about students academic achievements .
