(Jennifer and her dad are sitting at the living room together. Jeniffer is
playing on her phone and her dad is reading the newspaper when her
mom walks in. Throughout the scene, the dad continues to read the
newspaper, glancing up momentarily to look at his wife and daughter, and
then continues reading. At times, he simply shakes his head.)
Narrator: Assallammualaikum WBT. We are from 6 Bestari are going to
perform a drama about I want My Mother Back. This is the scene where
Jeniffer a 15 years old teenager and her mother are having a
conversation. Jeniffer wants to go out with her friends but her mother
doesnt allow her to
Jeniffer: Mom, I want to go out and hang out with my friends today. I will
come home late because I have a party.
Mother: What? No, you cant. You are not old as you think, and if your
friends go home late, you are not young lady! You are my daughter and
while you live in this house you will do as I say.
Jennifer: Ergh Mom! Its not fair! You just want me to do what you want, I
am a good daughter.
Mother: Lets see, good daughter. How come you dont have good you
grades in exam? How come you dont wash the dishes when I tell you so?
How come you dont go to bed early? You should do what I tell you to do,
not when you want to do it.
Jeniffer: Dad! Mom is so unreasonable! Why cant I have more freedom?
Make my own decision?
Dad: Listen to your mother

Jeniffer: But dad???

Dad: You heard me, listen to your mother. She knows the best.
(Jeniffer gets angry)
Jeniffer: Ok, whatever you say. I am not perfect.
Mother: I dont expect you to be perfect. But I do ask you to respect me as
your mom. I have to go now, its getting late for work. Oh, Jeniffer! Wash
the bathroom and sweep the living room? And dont forget to do your
laundry. Jennifer, dear, remember not to open the door to strangers. You
can always call Dad or me if there anything you need. I love you bye!
Jeniffer: Bla, bla bla. I hate it!
Dad: Jeniffer, its not good to say like that to your mother.
Jeniffer: But Dad!
Dad: No, but, but! Listen to what your parents say. You are still young and
take care of your manners. Hmm, looks like Im also late for work. Well, be
good and take care of your sister. I am going to work. I love you, bye!
(Dad leaves the stage)
Jeniffer: Ergh!
Younger Sis: /looks at Jennifer/ /evil laughs/
Jeniffer: Dina, stop staring at me. Its creepy.
Younger Sis: Yaaaaa!!! /attacks Jennifer with doll/
Jennifer: Hey , Dina! Stop it!
Younger Sis: Lets play! ~
Jennifer: Dina! I have a lot of work to do! Not like you!
Younger Sis: My name is Dina. What is your name? /talking using doll/
Jeniffer: Oh, Dina! Get away from me!
Younger Sis: Sis! /cries/ Im going to tell Mom!
Jeniffer: Whatever, Dina.
Younger Sis: /mess the house/
Jeniffer: Dina! Stop it! You are too much! /yells at Dina/

Younger Sis: /leaves stage/ Sis are the worst!

Jeniffer: Ergh! Dina! /sigh/ This is so terrifying! I wish I had another
mother!
(Suddenly Jennifer hears a voice)
Fairy God Mother: Oh, your wish is granted!
Jennifer: Who are you?
Fairy God Mother: I am your fairy god mother, sweetie!
Jeniffer: That cant be true! It must be my imagination!
Fairy God Mother: Little girl, this is a great opportunity. You asked for a
wish and you woke me up! So, tell me what kind of mother do you want?
Jennifer: Please, dont call me little girl.
Fairy God Mother: Okay, okay, young lady. Tell me what you want. I dont
have your time.
Jennifer: Let me think. I want someone that treats me well, that lets me do
what I want to do and someone that buys me everything I want and
everything I like. Oh! She also should let me go shopping more! Yes, yes!
Fairy God Mother: Hmm, hmm Okay then. Your wish is granted!
(Mother 1 enters very nicely dress and she sits in the sofa to read a
magazine)
Mother 1: Hmm, Im sure Im more beautiful than her /reading
magazine/
Jennifer: Wow! I dont know why I didnt ask you sooner, Fairy God Mother!
Listen Ma
Mother 1: Yaa! Little girl, dont call me mom. I spend a lot of money just to
look younger, and you call me Ma?! Call me MAMA!
Jeniffer: Ergh.. Im sorry, MAMA. Well Mama, I just want to tell you that I
want to go out with my friends! I have a party this Friday night. And I
dont have anything good to wear! Lets see, I need a party dress, a prada
purse and maybe a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes?
Mother 1: (Gives Jeniffer the credit card) Take it, and do whatever you
want.

Jeniffer: Wow! Really? Thanks Mama! Youre the best! /kiss the credit
card) Oh, Mama. Do you remember that the other day I told you about a
girl that was Mama? Are you listening?
Mother 1: Oh sorry dear.
Jennifer: Hmm As I were saying, she was really rude to me! She
Mama! Youre still not paying attention!
Mother 1: I gave what you want. I dont have time to listen to your stories.
I am going to the beauty shop. Bye! Ahahaha!
/Mother 1 leaves the stage/
Jennifer: Oh my. What is wrong with my mother?! Wait, do I even know
her? Urgh! Fairy God Mother! Where are you?!
Fairy God Mother: Jennifer, why are you yelling, dear? Tell me how things
went with your new mother.
Jennifer: You made her different. I wanted to talk to her, but she didnt
have time for me. She doesnt listen to me!
Fairy God Mother: Well, hmm, actually, Jenifferto be fair, you didnt say
anything about wanting a mother that listens to you. I only gave what you
asked for.
Jennifer: Oh, yes, rightThats why! Okay then Hmm I want her to be
nice to me. I want her to care about me and spend time with me! And, I
WANT HER TO LISTEN TO ME.
Fairy Good Mother: Err, dear Are you sure?
Jeniffer: I am sure! Come on, do it!
/Mother 2 enters the stage/

cares for you, who loves you, who listens to you But now, Jennifer?

time for me, but not THAT much time. Someone who is a little stricter, but
at the same time, someone who cares for me and loves me.

/Mother 3 enters/
Mother 3: /loud/ Jennifer!
Jennifer: Y-yes?
Mother 3: You have to say, YES MAMI.
Jennifer: YES, MAMI.
Mother 3: Do you want to eat something?

Jennifer: Yes, Mami

Mother 3: Good! From now on food will be served at 12 pm, not before or
after, you are allowed to watch television from 5 to 6 PM ONLY. Complete
your homework by 9 oclock and you are not allowed to go out after 10
pm. Understood?

you get angry at me?! I already try my best! I fulfil all of your wishes.
Jennifer: Its not fair! I trusted you and you are having fun of me!
/Suddenly Jennifers friends visits her/
Friend 1: Eh? Who were you talking to just now?
Jeniffer: Ha? Eh, no one, no one. What both of you doing here?
Friend 2: We just visit you, Jennifer. Cant we?
Jeniffer: No, no. Of course you can.

Friend 1: So, whats going on?

Jennifer: Bad
Friend 2: What do you mean?
Jennifer: Its about my mother. Im so suffering because of her!
Friend 1: What? Why?
Jennifer: My mother never gives me what I want! Its so tiring!
Friend 2: No way, buddy.
Jennifer: Its true! I want to come home late and enjoy myself, but no!

Friend 2: Your mother knows the best. She does like that because she
loves you and she wants you to be a good person.

Friend 1: But Fine, we never understand you
Friend 2: And we never will if you keep acting like this. Lets go, Mira. She
just wastes our time.
Friend 1: Hmm Jennifer, remember. You have to listen what your mother
says. Thats all! Bye!
/Jennifer friends leaves the stage/
/Jennifer cries/
Fairy God Mother: Your friends are kind.
Jennifer: Whatever!

Fairy God Mother: Dont you realized? Your friends are helping you.
Jennifer: No! I dont!
Fairy God Mother: /sigh/ Listens, Jennifer. I just wanted you to see what
you have at home You dont have to be looking somewhere else for what
you already have. You got that? Now tell me from A Z, does your real
mother care for you?
Jennifer: Yes/cries/ Very much When Im sick, she never leaves my
side.
Fairy God Mother: You see? Hmm, then Does she listen to you when you
have something to tell her?
Jennifer: Yes, shes always there for me. Even if she is busy
Fairy God Mother: Does she cook everything that you want?
Jennifer: /nods/ She will cook my favourite food

just okay No, no! Im fine What do I want to eat? Anything as long it is
