Content Standard : 1.2 : By the end of the 6 year primary schooling, pupils will
be able to listen and respond appropriately in formal and
informal situation for a variety of purpose.
Learning Standard : 1.2.2 Able to listen and follow
a) simple instructions in the classroom
Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to listen and and
follow three simple instruction.

Activities
1. In Guess My Sound, teacher asks the pupils the phonemes /g/ and /o/
and the corresponding graphemes learnt on previous day.
2. Teacher says word by word and pupils guess the correct initial sound
with the correct item on the picture.
3. Pupils stick the sound cards near the correct item on the picture.
4. Pupils who guess the correct initial sound of each item on the picture
get points.
5. Pupils read words have been taught after the teacher.
6. In Clean or Dirty? activity, teacher prepares two sets of pictures
cards-clean and dirty.
7. Pupils read the word on the picture card aloud.
8. Pupils sort the picture card to the correct column on the writing boardclean or dirty individually.
9. Pupils who sort the picture card correctly get points.
10. Pupils read aloud the words taught from both activities.

knowledge acquired in a meaningful manner in
their lives.
Added-value :( Creativity)Pupils are able to blend
two to four phonemes into recognizable words
