SMATV SYSTEM
GENERAL
Scope of Work:
WAVE MUSCAT requires complete hardware & software solution for the
SMATV IF Method as per drawings and complete specifications.
SUMMARY
WAVE MUSCAT requests for installation of a turnkey solution for creating
SMATV - IF SYSTEM
Final design and location of installed Screens should be coordinated during
construction with interior design contractor.
REFERENCES
Work shall be carried out according to normal installation practice. All
equipment shall be supplied by recognized Manufacturers. The quality of the
equipment proposed will comply with the relevant international standards.

UL Listing: The system and all its components shall be listed by Underwriters
Laboratories Inc. or approved equal.
C.
SUBMITTALS
The contractor shall submit the following prior to installations:

Submit to the Engineer shop drawings, product data (including cut sheets
and catalog information). The engineer/designer will indicate approval of
shop drawings, product data, and samples submitted to the Engineer by

Certificates from the Manufacturer illustrating that the installer has the
qualified personnel to perform design, installation and configuration for the
provided equipments. Personnel certificates from the manufacturer must
be submitted. The certificates must be appropriate with the requirement
with the required configuration & maintenance expected tasks.

Submit tables of all offered equipment listing the power consumption, and
heat dissipation for all modules, sub-modules and parts.
e.
The Contractor shall submit the version number and date for all offered
hardware and software, and must provide the product/software road map
for all offered software / firmware modules indicating the new updates and
releases, and the effect of these updates on current system. All supplied
hardware and software should come with latest version of software/
firmware installed.

Submit the list of country of origin for all the proposed items, and list of all
OEM (original equipment manufacturer) programs with their partners
g.
Hands on Training schedule illustrating the studying hours along with the
materials. The training shall include installation, content creation and
configuration detailed steps along with the maintenance and operation
strategy.

At least two months before beginning work, the Contractor shall provide a
complete set of shop drawings and an Execution Report, including:
a. Schematics, drawing and documents list.
b. Complete schematics of the proposed systems and devices, with at least:
The function of each device;
The physical and logical organizational diagram of the system;
c. This Execution Report shall be given to the Client's Representative's
Technical Consultant for validation.

At the end of each working phase, the Contractor shall provide a complete set
of as built document including:
a. All prior documents requested for execution and completed in accordance
with the real executed works.
b. Technical data sheets, references and catalogues of installed equipment
and software manufacturers
c. The configuration files will be given to the Client Representative Technical
Consultant for validation.

All materials and equipment supplied by the Contractor shall be new latest
and proven technology in communication systems, and shall meet or exceed
the latest published specification of the manufacturers in all respects. All
materials and components shall be compatible with each other and with the

services they shall interface with, the contractor shall submit certificates of
compliance from manufacturers.

Sub-Contractor Qualification:
a. The Contractor should have experience of implementing & operating the
SMATV system in Villas and commercial fields.
b. To ensure the system has continued support, the Sub-Contractor shall
have a successful history of installation, service and support and must
have a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
c. The Sub-Contractor's installation personnel shall meet the manufacturers
training and education requirements of extended warranty program. The
training certificates obtained from the manufacturer shall be submitted.
d. The Sub-Contractor should be recognized as an Authorized Vendor
Partner for five (5) years at least.

Costs of all shipping to the site, and of all unusual storage requirements, shall
be done by the Contractor. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to
make appropriate arrangements and to coordinate with authorized personnel
at the site for the proper acceptance, handling, protection, and storage of
equipment so delivered.

The contractor shall be responsible for the safe storage of all equipment. In
the event of equipment damage or disappearance from the site, the contractor
Shall bear full responsibility and all costs associated with equipment
replacement at no additional cost to the Owner.
WARRANTY
Manufacturer shall warrant specified equipment to be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for the period stated in the main contract and
starting from the date of hand over.

Satellite switcher
Satellite IF processing equipment shall have ultra-broadband switching
network with maximum frequency range available at the time of execution with
future expandable facility. The IF processing equipment should have eight IF
inputs for eight nos of satellite input connection. The satellite processor
should have the capability of sending RF signals through it. The IF processing
equipment should have an in built integrated SMPS power supply which will
power the LNBS and the microprocessor.
Coaxial Cables
Cable shall be inner copper conductor and outer copper shield, with high
efficiency, lightweight and reliability. The inner conductor shall be solid
electrolytic copper and outer sheath to be copper shield. The cable should be
of the best quality and should not change characteristics due to high
temperature and humid weather conditions.
Main Trunk cable: Low loss 75 ohms RG-11
Final Distribution cable: Low loss 75 ohms RG-6 with 10.5 db attenuation at
240 Mhz/100mts and 18.5db attenuation at 862 Mhz at 100mts.
