Evidence of Progress Toward Specific Standards or Elements to be Addressed/Enhanced

For both of my goals, I was able to explore different teaching methods with my cooperating teacher and with the course materials. I also spent
time analyzing the way in which the students in my cooperating teachers class took notes and studied. Although I was able to identify many
different effective and ineffective teaching/learning strategies, I was unable to test these with the students. I did discuss incorporating more
collaborative activities in lessons with my cooperating teacher (specifically for his class); although he did not implement them, he did share
his thoughts on what impact those activities would have. Overall, I would say that I partially accomplished my goals. In the future, I should
focus more on working with students to understand how their learning is impacted by different strategies.

Future Plans (identify what your goals for the next semester of your teacher preparation program will be)

I need to be more interactive with the students. I will learn much more from them than I will from classes on teaching. They can tell me what
works for them and why. This will also allow me to start practicing using different strategies to meet the needs of a diverse group of students.
