Hundreds of Rohingya Muslims are fleeing a military crackdown in Burma


and crossing the border into Bangladesh. Some news reportssay, members of
the group labeled the most-persecuted in the worldwere shot at as they fled,
and Bangladeshi border guards turned them away. More than 1 million
Rohingya live in western Burma, mainly in Rakhine state.

Ronald Dela Rosa presented Espinosa to the media after booking procedures. He said Espinosa
would be brought to the detention center after meeting with the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group.
Espinosa will be kept in isolation in the PNP custodial center and even relatives will be barred
from visiting him without clearance from Dela Rosa himself.

1) DAVAO CITY The new chief of the National Electrification Administration


(NEA) has vowed to help President Dutertes program of bringing development
to the countryside by energizing the farthest communities and pushing for
lower prices of electricity.
Edgardo Masongsong, former party-list representative for electric cooperatives who
was appointed administrator of the governments electric cooperatives regulator last
Nov. 18, said Sunday his office would prioritize bringing light to the barrios

incomes.
Household access to electricity in rural areas is associated with a 36-percent increase

2) An Inquirer team and a four-member crew of an American TV show sailed to


the disputed Panatag Shoal (international name: Scarborough Shoal) on Nov.
13, barely three weeks after Filipino fishermen were allowed access to their
traditional fishing ground by the Chinese Coast Guard patrolling the area.

The fishermen were anxious about returning to Panatag despite a friendly


agreement between the Philippine and Chinese governments on fishing at the shoal.
But they agreed to take us there so we could see for ourselves the situation at Panatag
Shoal.

President-elect Donald Trump is calling for unity in a Thanksgiving address posted on social media.
In the message released Wednesday, Trump says the nation has just finished a "long and bruising" campaign and
that "tensions don't just heal overnight."
Trump says he is praying that on Thanksgiving the country will "begin to heal our divisions and move forward
strengthened by shared purpose."
He adds that with the political campaign over, it's time for a "great national .. campaign to rebuild our country.
