1. 571 - Holy Prophet is born. The year of many miracles. The year of the Elephant. Kaabah attacked
by elephants and divine intervention in the shape of birds caused the army to retreat.
2. 577 - Holy Prophets mother, Hazrat Aminah, passed away and was buried in Abwa.
3. 580 - Holy Prophets grandfather Abdul Muttalib passed away.
4. 583 - A Christian Monk Bahia foretells prophethood to the Holy Prophet during the Prophets
journey to Basara with his uncle Abu Talib.
5. 591 - Holy Prophet becomes active member of Half-al-Fazl. A league for distrust relief. Holy
Prophet was known as al-Sadiq and al-Amin.
6. 594 - Started working as a manager for Hazrat Khadijah.
7. 595 - Marriage to Hazrat Khadija. Tahira-the pious one.
8. 605 - Placed Hajr al-Aswad in the Kaabah.
9. 610 - Holy Prophet enters prophethood at the age of 40 and the first revelation is passed in Cave of
Hira.
10. 613 - Holy Prophet starts preaching at Mount Safa. 40 righteous people had accepted Islam in past
3 years.
11. 614 - Opposition of the Quraish. Invitation to the Holy prophet to his own clan Banu Hashim.
12. 615 - Migration to Abyssinia.
13. 616 - Second migration Abyssinia.
14. 617 - Boycott Banu Hashim.
15. 619 - Death of Hazrat Khadija and Abu Talib (Am-ul-Hazn). The Prophet also remarried. He married
Hazrat Sawdah and Hazrat Aisha.
16. 620 - Islam is introduced to Yasrib. Went to preach in Taif. Major tribe Saqeef. They rejected Islam.
17. 621 - First Pledge of Aqabah. 12 people accepted Islam from Yasrib.
18. 622 1AH - Hijrah Begins - Second Pledge of Aqabah. 75 people. Migration to Yasrib. Azan system
is created. Jumma khutba.
19. 623 2AH - Zakat and Fasting were made obligatory.
20. 624 3AH - Direction of prayers changed to Kaabah. Battle of Badr. It was the first important battle
of Islam and if the Muslims had lost they would have been wiped out. The opposition was the Quraish and
Munafiqeen(non-believers) who had 70 people killed.
21. 625 4AH - Lost Battle of Uhad. The prophet marched towards Uhad with 1000 men. Abdullah Bin
Ubbay and his 300 warriors deserted the battle. 700 men marched towards Uhad. They put up a successful
battle but when the archers deserted their posts, they were counterattacked by the Quraish.
22. 626 5AH - Banu Nazir was a jewish tribe that was exiled due to misconduct with their agreement.
They retreated to a fortress and the Prophet led a siege that lasted for two weeks. After that the jews left.
23. 627 6AH -The Battle of Trench was a battle where the Banu Nazir formalised an army ,with
alliances, of 10,000 men and marched towards Madinah. Madinah was protected from two sides due to
oasis and population. The fourth side was unsafe so the Prophet and 3000 men dug a trench near that side
for battle. When the people lost hope they began to ask permission of the Prophet to leave. There was a
siege that lasted for 30 days and the people faced harsh conditions but after that a cold storm hit the enemy
and they withdrew.
24. 628 7AH - Treaty of Hudaibiya. One night the Prophet had a dream of going to Makkah for
pilgrimage or Umrah. He went to Makkah with more people but they were stopped outside Makkah. They
formed a treaty in order to complete the pilgrimage. This treaty included the conditions for pilgrimage that
the Muslims would follow. They had to return to Madinah that year but they could return the year after.
25. 629 8AH - Holy Prophet sent messages of Islam to rulers through letters. Heraclius, the Roman
Emperor, was approached but did not embrace Islam. Chosroes, Emperor of Persia, insulted the Prophet
and the messenger, he also tore the letter. His kingdom fell. Negus, Emperor of Abyssinia, and the emperors
of Bahrain and Oman all accepted Islam. Cyrus, ruler of Egypt, sent many gifts to the Prophet including his
daughter Maria and a horse called Duldul, but he did not embrace Islam.
26. 630 9AH - Tabuk Expedition. The Romans fought a battle with the Muslims. The Muslims marched
towards Tabuk with an army of 30,000 men. It was a harsh journey where the closest friends of the prophets
donated a lot of their wealth. The Romans got demoralised and left.

27. 631 10AH - Year of deputations. Multiple tribes joined the faith. Farewell pilgrimage_Hajjat-ul-Wida.
114,000 men marched towards Makkah for the pilgrimage. The prophet performed a sermon at the plain of
Arafat near Jabal-e-Rehmat. This was the first Universal Character of Human Rights. The Prophet was
nearing the end of his mission and this year was his last hajj. He concluded his address with the revelation:
This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you
Islam as your religion.
28. 632 11AH - Death of the Prophet. After an ilness of 13 days, the Prophet passed away on the 12th
of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Elections for Caliphate. The people of Quraish wanted to take charge as the successors of
the prophet but Hazrat Umar held Hazrat Abu Bakrs hand and swore his allegiance to him.
