Self Boarding
Self boarding gates support airport staff in checking boarding passes in the shortest time possible.
Recommended solution
The Kaba system consists of a sensor barrier with automatic
swing panels. The unit features an integrated boarding pass
reader, an LCD display for passenger instruction and a device
for printing seat assignment changes. Industry standard barcodes can be scanned from boarding passes printed by airlines or self-service kiosks, personal printers and smart
phones.

Automated Boarding Pass Control

Automatic units are used to support airport staff in efficiently checking the boarding passes of passengers passing from
the land side into secure areas of the air side.
Recommended solution
The Kaba system consists of a sensor barrier with automatic
swing panels. The unit features an integrated boarding pass
reader and a display for passenger information. The sensor
system provides single-file access for passengers with space
allowance for carry-on luggage.

Automated Customs Control

Automated customs contol systems provide an alternative
solution for passport validation. The system is capable of
accurately detecting an invalid or forged passport.
Recommended solution
The Kaba solution consists of a sensor barrier with an interlock function. The system is complemented by a document
reader outside and a biometric device inside the unit.

Exit Lane Breach Control

One of the most sensitive aspects of airport security is
maintaining a secure barrier that protects the air side from
unauthorized entry from the land side. On arrival at their
destination, passengers should have unrestricted egress
from the concourse to the airport exit. Security regulations
stipulate that the flow of passengers should be organized in
such a way that no unauthorized individuals are allowed to
enter the air side area through an exit lane.
Recommended solution
Kaba developed the one-way exit corridor to guide the flow
of arriving passengers at the air terminal. It allows for fast
and safe passage from the air side to the land side.

This modular system is equipped with a series of motion

presence and video analytic sensors that are designed to
detect unattended objects left within or passed through the
corridor area. As passengers exit through the corridor, fullheight and half-height double swing doors automatically
open and close based upon a progammed flow or interlock
mode. Combined, the physical barrier and advanced sensor
technology provide a secure detection and entry prevention
solution without the need of a guard.

Electronic Access Control Solutions

Staff-only entrances and exits are located along the division

between the public and secure areas. These doors are not
generally subject to constant staff surveillance and therefore
require security units for access control.
E-PLEX
The E-Plex series of access control products includes
stand-alone and systems products designed to meet
virtually any indoor or outdoor application. A variety of
scalable solutions are available to accommodate current
and future needs including:
> Access units that support various types of FIPS 201 cards
including, but not limited to PIV and TWIC
> A simple option where all setup is done at the door, and
no computer is required

Embedded Access Control

These products eliminate the aggravation of forcing legacy
access control into an IP world with browser-based,
embedded access control. With .NET support, the units
allow managed access control over multiple buildings and
sites as well as third-party integration for video or ID
management through one secure Web user interface. Plus,
the system expands as needs do. The biometric Fingerprint
Key reader is robust and NEMA 4 IP65-rated for outdoor
use in extreme environments. The Fingerprint Key meets
HSPD-12 in response to FIPS 201 requirements and includes
an optical sensor thats approved for federal installations
(TWIC/PIV compliant). The tamper-resistant reader also
comes standard with a PIN pad and an optional embedded
iCLASS reader for a three-factor authentication device.

Two product lines
The Argus product family consists of a sensor-controlled
passageway with automatic doors in a variety of configurations. They allow effective entry or exit with a provision for
roller cases and luggage.
Argus HSB - Half-height Sensor Barriers
These well proven sensor barriers are equipped with swing
doors and allow for customized design combinations thanks
to a variety of materials and finishes. The stainless steel
housing and transparent side walls create an aesthetically
pleasing look complimentary to the entrance area. Moreover the sensor barriers are available in three different
lengths depending on the configuration of the sensor system and the desired level of security.

Argus HSG - Half-height Sensor Gates

The HSG Sensor Gates are equipped with sliding doors available in different heights. The units feature a premium sensor system and stainless steel housing. For passage, the
sliding panels move swiftly into the housing.
