About This Manual


Purpose

At first, thank you for choosing ZXSS10 SS1b of ZTE Corporation!


ZXSS10 SS1b is fully compatible with the layered standard NGN
model. It can provide NGN with service call and connection control functions which are required by real-time services. By using
ZXSS10 SS1b, operators can provide users with many kinds of
multimedia services which involve voice, video and data. ZXSS10
SS1b is, therefore, the core of NGN in terms of call and control.
This manual provides users with operation guides by describing
the detailed subscriber allocation configuration steps.

Overview
Introduction

This chapter describes the flow to configure the numbers allocated


to subscribers after the AG or MG has been configured.
Follow these steps to configure the numbers allocated to subscribers.

Configure the call right template

Confirm the local office code

Configure the hundred set

Configure the local subscribers

In an NGN architecture, the access devices or SS can access


many kinds of subscribers, as shown in Figure 1. In this chapter,
H.248/SIP/H323, ISN and V5 users are taken as the examples to
describe the structure.

Configuring a Call Right


Template
Prerequisites

Context

NetNumen has been connected to the database;

You have logged in to the NetNumenN31 Unified Management System

This topic describes how to configure a call right model.


Call right configuration involves four conditions, namely configuring the incoming calls and outgoing calls under normal condition
and configuring the incoming calls and outgoing calls when a user
is in arrears.

Steps

1. On the Configure Management interface, select Service


Manage > User Model Configuration > Call Right Model
Configuration.
Click the Add (A) button. The Add Call Right Model Configuration dialog box appears, as shown in Figure 2.

Configuring Subscriber
H248/SIP/H323
Introduction

After you have configured the IAD, AG, SIP terminals and H.323
teminals, you can allocate H.248/SIP/H.323 subscriber numbers
to the SS. When configuring the User Number Type parameter,
choose the right type for different users.
Follow these steps to configure the subscriber numbers.
1. Configuring the local office code
2. Adding a hundred group
3. Configuring the local subscribers

Configuring a Local Office Code


Prerequisites

Context

NetNumen has been connected to the database.

You have logged in to the NetNumenN31 Unified Management System

This topic describes how to configure a local office code.


A local office code refers to the office code shared by all the subscribers in an SS domain. It is the initial part of a subscriber number, for example, if the local office code is 5287, then the 8digit
user number is 5287XXXX.

Steps

1. On the Configure Management interface, select Service


Manage > User Configuration > Local Office Code and
DNHM Configuration.
2. Click the Add (A) button and select Add Local Office Code.
The Add Local Office Code Configuration dialog box appears, as shown in Figure 3.

Code Name

Refers to the district represented by this office


code.

Country Code

Country Code, for example, China is 86.

Route Context

This is used with pre-analysis. You have to


analyze a context in pre-analysis.

HLR Group

Used for querying HLR.

User Area

Categorize subscribers according to areas. You can


click it to select an area. Here, you can leave it a
blank.

Mobile
ber

If this is selected, the number is a mobile number.

her number.

Before Calling
Delete Longdistance Prefix

If this is selected, when a user makes calls, the


long-distance prefix will be deleted from his or her
number.

3. Click the OK button to finish the configuration.

Configuring a Hundred Group


Prerequisites

Context

NetNumen has been connected to the database;

You have logged in to the NetNumenN31 Unified Management System;

You have configured a local office code.

This topic describes how to add a hundred group.


A hundred group refers to the digits on the hundred position and
the thousand position in a number. In an SS system, the hundred
group of an office code corresponds to a gateway zone. The configuration of a hundred group is the allocation of number resources
on a gateway zone, for example, if the local office code is 5287,
and the hundred group 00 is allocated to IAD zone 3, then, the
numbers can be used on gateway zone 3 are from 52870000 to
52870099.

Steps

1. On the Configure Management interface, select Service


Manage > User Configuration > Local Office code and
DNHM Configuration.
2. On the Local Office code and DNHM Configuration page,
select a newly added office code, click the Add (A) button and
select Add Hundred Group.
The Add Hundred Group dialog box appears, as shown in
Figure 4.

3. Fill in the parameters according to the descriptions given in


Table 3.

The following introduces how to add and delete a hundred


group.

Adding a hundred group: In the right panel in which the


available hundred groups are listed, click one or several
hundred groups which should be allocated to a gateway
zone, and click
to move the hundred group to the
left list. In this way, this hundred group is allocated to
a corresponding gateway zone. If you click
, all the
available hundred groups in the right list will be moved to
the left list.

Configuring a Local Office User


Prerequisites

Context

NetNumen has been connected to the database.

You have logged in to the NetNumenN31 Unified Management System.

You have configured a hundred group.

This topic describes how to configure a local office user.


After you have configured the office code and the hundred group,
you have to configure the last two digits in a number which are
used to distinguish subscribers, for example, if the office code is
5287, the hundred group is 09, then the 8digit user number will
be 528709XX.

Steps

1. On the Configure Management interface, select Service


Manage > User Configuration > Local Office User Configuration.
2. On the Local Office User Configuration page, click Add (A)
and select Add (A). The Add Local Office User dialogue box
appears, as shown in Figure 5.

Enter the numbers which will be allocated. The


format is: Office Code + Hundred Group +
Last two digits, for example, from 52870000
to 52870003. In this way, a large amount of
numbers can be added easily.

User Type

Select the user type.

User Num. Type

Select whether the number type is a normal


number, a SIP number or an H.323 number.

Pulse & Tone

Refers to that whether a user uses pulse or audio


frequency when dialing.

Terminal Offered
Signal Type

Refers to the signal types that can be supported


by user terminals.

DAS

Fill in the ID of the DAS used by a user.

DAS for Monitoring

Used for lawful interception.

Gateway
No.

Fill in the ID of the gateway node in which the


user is located.

Node

Preset Net

Keep it consistent with the network type.

WAC ID

Refers to the ID of a Wide Area Centrex

Call Right Template No.

Refers to that whether a user can make and


receive calls under both normal condition and
under arrear condition. The model can be configured on the Service Manage > User Model
Configuration > Call Right Model Configuration interface.

Media Authority

Enter the ID of the media authority model. You


can click it to configure the parameters, including
the bandwidth, video rights and data rights.

Call Limit Group

Enter the ID of the groups. When this is configured, some calls will be restricted.

Digit-Handling
Model

Enter the ID of the digit handling model. When


this is configured, numbers will be processed.

Roam Register
Attribute Model

Enter the ID of the roam register attribute


model. When this is configured, users can only
use services in the configured areas when they
are in the roaming state.

Extended Right
Model

Enter the ID of the extended right model used


by a user. It is an extension of the call right
template.

Terminal Service

If this is selected, the user services will be provided by terminals.

Terminal Handle
SIP 302

If this is selected, the 302 messages in SIP messages will be precessed by terminals.

Wimax
Mark

If this is selected, the user is a Wimax user.

3. On the Add Local Office User dialogue box, click Advance


Prop.. The tab page appears, as shown in Figure 6.

7. On the Add Local Office User dialogue box, click the Query
Block User tab to query the block cause. The Query Block
User tab page appears, as shown in Figure 9.

Configuring a User
Sub-Group
Prerequisites

NetNumen has been connected to the database.

You have logged in to the NetNumenN31 Unified Management System.

Context

This topic describes how to add a user sub-group which can facilitate management and charging.

Steps

1. On the Configure Management interface, select Service


Manage > User Configuration > User Sub-Group Configuration.
2. On the User Sub-Group Configuration page, click Add (A)
and select Add User Sub-group. The Add User Sub-group
page appears, as shown in Figure 10.
