Everyday
Living
Services
and places that will make you feel independent and help you adapt to life in Ulsan. In recent years, Ulsan and its expat community has
grown and thus many services have followed.
These services and shops provide things that
are useful in daily life as well as for special
occasions.
The best thing to help you get accustomed to
your life here in Ulsan is to get out and enjoy
the city and everything that it has to offer. Do
not worry so much about the language barrier and just focus on getting out and enjoying
your life! Many of the shops and services will
have a basic knowledge of English and that
should be enough to get you what you need.
Many of the cultural and sports facilities will
have top notch services but just be aware that
there might be some cultural differences. For
example, swimming pools may make you wear
a swim cap and goggles which may be different than your home country. It is important
to understand the rules before starting any
program or service. Comprehensive services
like these, make your everyday life in Ulsan
happy and hassle-free. Getting out and enjoying yourself will make you feel more relaxed
and at home here in Ulsan.

Call Van
Call Van is a freight van used to transport passengers with freight. It can carry up to 6 people.
You can book the van for a trip to Gimhae Airport or for a day tour at a fixed rate. Fares are
negotiable and vary depending on the travel distance and number of passengers. Negotiating
before getting in the van is highly recommended. The fare is generally 70,000 ~ 100,000 for
Ulsan to Busan.
Please contact FLiK (052-202-1111) when you need it.
Taxi
Taxis are relatively cheap in Korea. The basic charge is 2,800 for the first 2 km. An extra
charge is added after midnight. Usually you can hail a taxi by waving your hands at any place.
If you can speak a few Korean words or show the driver your destination, he or she will take
you to the right place.

Safe Driving
You can get lots of information about restaurants, travel destinations and attractions in Korea.
It is especially helpful when planning domestic trips.
An international drivers license is as valid as a Korean drivers license during its term of validity
(one year from the date of issuance).
http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/index.kto
Foreigners from countries that recognize the Korean drivers license are exempt from all tests
but must take a physical exam. Foreigners from countries that do not recognize the Korean
drivers license are required to take a driving aptitude test.
