path.
Nice Answer, next why do you say that Life
is beautiful?
Yes correct, why do you say that Life is
precious?
Thank you, for you, why do you define Life
as the greatest gift of God.

Life is beautiful because this is the greatest God

that is given to us
Life is precious because God given to us the
beautiful gift, so we must treasure it.
For me, Life is the greatest gift of God because
the blessings or all the things here on earth are
useless if without people who will care to the
environment.

Yes correct, we must treasure, cherish and

Yes very good, because according to Henry
Wadsworth Longfellow poem it talks about
the important of life and living it to the
fullest.

The poem is all about life where in it encourage

people to treasure and cherish the life given to us.

I will group you into three and assign

numbers to your members.

(Students are now discussing the assigned task)
(After 10 minutes they will come back to their
Home Group)

(Yes sir)
(After 10 minutes)

Are you done discussing?

(Yes, sir)
Ok, very good. What is a problem? What
does Long fellows mean by A PSALM OF
LIFE? All of the Groups will answer this
question
Group I
Ok class, what can you understand about the
1st to 3rd stanzas, can you share it to the class.

Excellent Group 1
How about Group 2? What can you
understand on 4 to 6 ?

(Each group are now answering)

First stanza, implies that life is too short and live

your life to the fullest by doing good things.
2nd Stanza, wants to say that we used liked to the
past and enjoy the life what we today.
And the 3rd stanza says that we dont need to take
one day for granted and tomorrow live life fuller
and cherish it more than the day.
Stanza 4 is hinting around the fact that life is
short, although people and loved ones may die,
our are still beauting.
The Fifth stanza relates the world to a broad field

of bottle, so we must be hero that who dont live

in fear and sit in the background in the life but
stand up and treasure your life.
Stanza 6 simply mean that in our everyday life
we are given a gift, and by not taking chances we
are throwing that gift and also states that God is
overhead of us and we should not live in fear.
Very good Group 2, How about you Group 3,
can you share to the class what did you
understand about stanza 7 to 9.?

In the poem you read class it also consist of

tone / mood and rhyme scheme. Where in
tone is the writters attitude takes toward
his/her subject, while mood is the feeling of a
poem creates by the reader. So what do you
think is the tone/mood in the poem?

In stanza seven say that we should look at the

great men before us an example on how we
should leave a mark in history.
Stanza 8 simply mean that the footsteps of great
men have an impact and it is good example to the
people today and in the last stanzas we must
learn to work and to be patient.

I think the mood in the story is encouraging

because it encourage people to treasure, cherish,
and enjoy life even though our life is hard.

Very good, it also consist rhyme scheme, this

is the pattern in which end rhyme occurs. For
example:
Heavy is my heart
A
Dark are thine eyes
B
Those and I must part
A
Where the sun rise
B
You noticed that heart ad part has the same
end rhyme same with the eyes and rise. What
is the rhyme scheme used?

Ok class, relate the message of the poem to

your life.
D. APPLICATION
Very good class, now lets have an

The rhyme scheme used is ABAB for example in

the first stanza numbers and slumbers are the
same also with dream and seen.

the correction of the message to their life.)
