I. OBJECTIVES
A. to infer from observations that particles of matter move;
B. to illustrate what is between particles of matter; and
C. to show willingness in doing the activity.
II. CONTENT
A. Particles of gases move freely because they are apart from each other.
B. Particles of liquid cannot move freely because they are more attracted to each other unlike gases.
C. Particles of matter are moving all the time and have spaces between them.

IV. PROCEDURE
A. Before the Lesson: Daily routines: Greetings; Prayer; Classroom Management; Attendance; Motivation
B. During the Lesson:
1. Materials:
2 cups water; 1 pc. 30 ml syringe; 2 transparent bottle(1 wide & 1 narrow mouthed);1/2 cup rock salt; 1
plastic dinner plate; food coloring (any color)
2. Procedure:
A. Pull the plunger of the syringe into 30 ml and push it using your thumb. B. Suck water from the
container until 30 ml and push it. C. Pour cup tap water into the container. D. Pour water into the
plastic plate; Pour rock salt into the container. Observe what happens in all the procedure.
C. After the Lesson:
1. Assessment:
Q1. Can you push the plunger without water? What do you feel? Q2. Can you push the plunger with
water? What do you feel? Q3. Compare the particles of water and gas and explain or you can illustrate
your explanation. Q4. Did the water take the shape of the container? Write your observations.Q5. Did the
rock salt take the shape of the container? Write your observations.
