Configuring the Transport Data of a NodeB (IP)

This section describes how to configure the physical link data, transport layer data, and networking link data of a NodeB in IP transmission mode
by performing operations on the GUI of the CME.

Prerequisites

A planned data area is open, and the data in the planned data area is consistent with the data in the current data area. For details, see
Managing a Planned Data Area.

The physical NodeB is configured.

The transmission interface board is configured.

Procedure
1.
2.

In the Main navigation tree in the left pane of the planned data area, right-click a physical NodeB, and then choose Transport Layer > IP
Transport Layer from the shortcut menu. The window for configuring the transport data is displayed in the right pane.
Click IPPort, and then configure the physical link data of the NodeB according to the actual planning. For details, see Table 1.

mapping in the upper part of the window.

Each Ethernet port can be configured

with only one Ethernet trunk group.
On the Ethernet ports that need to
join the Ethernet trunk group, you cannot set IP
addresses, enable the rate-limit switch, the ARP
agent, and the 3ah switch, or set Ethernet OAM
endpoints.
The Ethernet ports that need to join
the Ethernet trunk group must have the same
port rate and cannot be in the auto negotiation
rate mode.
One IP port can be set with a
maximum of four IP addresses. The IP
addresses on different ports must be on
separate network segments. The IP addresses
on the same port can be on the same network
segment.
This configuration enables you to set
the VLAN IDs and VLAN priorities of different
VLAN groups of different service types.
The VLAN priority mapping is a
global setting that is valid for each Ethernet port.

(Optional) Adaptive flow Click the HSDPA Flow Control tab. Select an IP port in the lower You can set the adaptive flow control parameters of

Operation
Click RSCGroup, select a configured physical
link in the lower part of the window, and then
configure the transmission resource group in
the upper part of the window.

Description

Each physical link can be

configured with a maximum of four
transmission resource groups.
If a physical link is configured
with IP paths, and the paths are not in a
transmission resource group, no
transmission resource group can be
added to this physical link.

of the Ethernet trunk group or the FE port that
carries the SCTP link, IP path or the OMCH, or
the device IP address of the physical port that
carries the SCTP link, IP path or the OMCH,
the IP routes for the control plane, user plane,

You need to configure the NCP

before configuring the CCP.
The master channel and the
slave channel must be configured on the
same transmission board.
The active and standby NCPs
or CCPs must be configured on an SAAL
link and an SCTP link respectively.
Otherwise, the configuration is invalid.

The source IP address of a

BFD session can be an interface device
IP address or a logical IP address.
If the source IP address is a
logical IP address, the hop type must be
multi-hop.
Only one BFD session can be
set up between an IP address pair.
Single-hop is used for the
networking of layer 2, and multi-hop is
used for the networking of layer 3.

PPP links or MLPPP groups cannot be

configured on the source E1/T1 link used for
configuring timeslot cross connections.
The source port and destination port of
timeslot cross connections must be different.
The source timeslot and the destination
timeslot of the timeslot cross channel can be located in
different timeslots on different boards. The number of
the source timeslots and that of the destination
timeslots, however, must be the same.
You must ensure that the two E1/T1 ports
using the timeslot cross connection use the same clock
frequency.
