Title of Artifact: Social Studies Lesson Plan Standard: Standard Eight: Communication- Teachers shall use knowledge of effective verbal, nonverbal and written communication techniques and the tools of information literacy to foster the use of inquiry, collaboration and supportive interactions. (New Jersey Board of Education, 2016). I am placing my social studies lesson plan under standard eight, communication, as evidence of my continued mastery. This lesson shows that I am using my knowledge of written communication techniques to help teach an important message to the students that I worked with this semester. Through the submission of my lesson I was able to inquire their minds about the what makes a bully a bully and what we can do to stop them. Within the lesson I also provide a fun activity that was completed in the classroom, which they got to keep. This shows that I was able to leave an impact on their minds, even after I already left.
