Joseph is the son of Rachel and Jacob. He had many

brothers. His father made him a colorful coat. He became
a leader in Egypt and had many dreams.

Moses

Moses was a prince in Egypt. He helped to free the

Israelites from Egypt and he received the 10
commandments from God.

Daniel

Daniel was very young when he was taken captive into

Babylon. He was very obedient and didnt eat strange
meat. Daniel's friends were thrown into a furnace once.

David

David was a shepherd boy when he was young. He was

chosen to be the new king of Israel when he got older.

Esther

Esthers birth name was Hadassah. She was a Jewish

queen. She learned that people wanted to harm Jews.
She was brave and asked the king to spare her people.

Ruth

Ruth was a Moabite woman. She was the daughter-in-law

of Naomi. She did not want to leave Naomi's side. She
followed Naomi back to her home.

PAUL

Paul was also called Saul of Tarsus. He had a vision and

saw Jesus on the road to Damascus. He started to teach
and preach about Jesus and about the kingdom of God.

JOHN

John the Baptist was the son of Zechariah and Elizabeth.

He was also the cousin of Jesus. He preached about the
kingdom of God and baptized Jesus.

Peter

Peter was one of the 12 disciples of Jesus. He was also a

fisherman. He denied Jesus 3 times but Jesus forgave
him.

Abram

Abraham was first called Abram. God changed his name

to Abraham. Abraham received promises of blessings
from God. He was told that his family would be as many
as the stars.
