Everyone in 21st century interacts with technology. The smartphones became a part of
our life and internet helps people to reach out everything in a few minutes. People can
access to hundred-thousand of information and resources. However, there may be so
many people doesnt have a computer, nor internet even more smartphone. By making
the right technology plan we can change this issue and can guide every single student.
They can collaborate, share ideas, and support each other with endless motivation.
The challenge for our education system is to leverage the learning sciences and
modern technology to create engaging, relevant, and personalized learning experiences
for all learners that mirror students daily lives and the reality of their futures. In
contrast to traditional classroom instruction, this requires that we put students at the
center and empower them to take control of their own learning by providing flexibility
on several dimensions.(Transforming American Education. U.S. department of
Education 2010) retrieved from

This plans goals and research meet on the same point which is technology gives more
opportunity finding more resource than traditional classroom.
The technology not only gives more opportunity but also equal opportunity to each
student. Students could improve their skills such as critical thinking, problem solving,
leadership, communication.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)
Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of digital
tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or replacement policy
that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
1. What are the educational computer programs in order for students to study?
The school has different websites and computer programs for each grade level. For
instance, k-3 students use reading eggs, 4th 7 5th grade students use study island, I
station, middle school students use Aleks, etc.
2. Is technology available to all students?
Yes. Each class has a set of Chromebook and each grade level has computer science
class instructed by certified teacher.
1. What replacement cycle has been built into the plan; and what funding is needed to
support the replacement policy?
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment data and
the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1. The Eduphoira database will be used to keep students assessments, test and score.
This database allows us to see students progress in last 10 years. So we are able to set
individual goal for student as well as teachers grade level goal.
2. Student will be tested 3 times with MAP tests. This is the needs assessment. Teacher
will have training during professional development time. The test score will give us
how ready students are before school year starts and give us mid-year and end year
feedback. So teachers will be assisting each individual student accordingly.
1. The school will start using I-station which allows combining all resources under one
umbrella. So all teachers and students can find all resources. We will replace the
projector and upgrade teachers laptops. The new windows version will let us use the
technology interactively as google does.
2. We will provide classroom printers for the k-5 ELA, Math and Science teachers. All
teachers will have upgraded laptop with last version of windows and Microsoft Office.
They will have quick support from IT department to install any specific software or
program. Physical Education teachers will have mp3 players and gym size speaker.
Character Education teachers will have second step interactive classroom set.
Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on teaching
and learning.
1. The most accurate data to check if the plan is working well and technology is being
used properly is students test score and their feedback. Also we will ask parents fill
out a survey. Teachers will evaluate the system in the campuses if technology plan has
been implemented properly by filling a survey too.
2. Teachers may also give feedback to their department heads, district coaches and
support coordinators. They will have meetings quarterly so we can evaluate the plan
more frequently.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including a
description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results to tech
plan stakeholders.
1. Assistant principal of academics will be main person to collect the data and district
dean of academics will gather all scores and data. They will have quarterly meeting for
the check up on plan and discuss the data.
2. We will semesterly report the status of the plan to the district superintendent even
though we have planned to implement these technologies within three years.
Superintendent will be immediately informed if we will have any major changes in this
technology plan.
