pendulum scanning.

You didnt mention the direction, speed, size or circumference

of the pendulums swing, or if there was stuck energy at that
site, plus above or below the site. Normally when you
encounter resistance, you are sensing or experiencing energy
flow; in this case it was a strong energy flow. Sometimes a
build-up of energy creates a stronger energy flow in certain
areas of the body, which can cause a magnetic pull or
attraction in that particular area. However, if there is too much
energy in one area, but less in another area, above or below
the site, then this would indicate energy flow imbalance.
Another possible reason why you had difficulty moving the
pendulum further or felt as if someone was holding your hand
there, thus preventing you from moving it, is that your spirit
healing team might have been helping. This is spirits way of
drawing your attention to a particular area that may require
additional Reiki. No matter what you were taught by your Reiki
teacher, always listen and follow your intuition!
Im not sure who taught you pendulum scanning, but my style
appears to be different from yours. My style came from the
dream state and was not taught to me by a human its fast,
simple and very effective which provides instant visual
feedback and validation. Later I discovered Barbara Ann
Brennans book The Hands of Light where she shares her
pendulum scanning method and interpretations. Because I
found it fascinating, I tried her method, but found it far too
time-consuming, plus too complicated for my use. However in
my older Reiki Level 1 manual, currently found on
VitalityLinks website, I still included her pendulum
interpretations for the interest of my Reiki students.
For my method, 21 strategic spots are scanned, but only from
the front-side of the body. Dont bother with the back-side of
the body, because it takes too long to be included in a normal
45-60 minute Reiki treatment. First scan the 7 main Chakras

starting from the top of the Crown, 3rd Eye, Throat, Heart,
Solar Plexus, Sacral and Root. Then scan the R-shoulder,
R-elbow, R-hand (whichever side is facing up), R-hip, R-knee,
R-ankle, R-foot (from the base of the foot). Finally, the
L-shoulder, L-elbow, L-hand (whichever side is facing up),
L-hip, L-knee, L-ankle, L-foot (from the base of the foot).
While scanning, keep your mind perfectly clear of all thoughts
in order to avoid interfering or manipulating the pendulums
movements. Patiently observe which direction the pendulum
swings, how fast its moving and the size or circumference of
the swing. Clockwise indicates normal energy flow,
counter-clockwise indicate imbalance in energy flow or
stationery indicates stuck energy flow. Also observe how fast it
swings and the circumference of the swing. A slow and tight
swing indicates low energy flow. A fast and wide swing
indicates high energy flow. Also, the pendulums speed and
circumference should be the same in each area, especially the
7 main Chakras. If one area is slow and tight, but another area
is fast and wide, this indicates energy flow imbalance. A Reiki
treatment should re-balance the flow. Give a little more time
and attention to areas that are slow and tight, and especially
apply extra Reiki to areas that show stuck energy. After the
Reiki treatment, do another pendulum scan - clockwise energy
flow is what you are trying to achieve. If the pendulum
indicates no change to an area that showed imbalance or stuck
energy, then apply more Reiki to the site before doing another
pendulum check. Note: If all the areas indicated clockwise
movement (positive energy flow) before the Reiki treatment,
then after the Reiki treatment when re-checking with the
pendulum, it should start quicker, plus spin faster and wider in
circumference which indicates that your Reiki treatment
created improved energy flow.
When using a pendulum, you dont need feedback from your
client in order to validate that your Reiki treatment made a
difference or to increase your confidence. Instead, the
pendulum will provide all the instant visual feedback and

validation that you need. The more you use it, the faster it
works and the more proficient you become.
With blessings and gratitude,
