Respected Sir,
Sub: Permission requested to utilize the Racing Pool of the Aquatic
Centre, Velachery in a flexible timings without any restriction.
-----We submit that we the undersigned persons are Regular Members of
the Aquatic Centre by paying the Membership fees and most of the
members are utilizing the Swimming Pool from the very beginning without
any disturbance of timings. Most of the members are Office-goers. Some
of them bringing their kids for Swimming in the morning by 5.45 AM and the
parents are waiting in the Centre till their classes are over. Instead of
ideally waiting in the Centre they are also using the Racing Pool till their
kids are finishing the classes.
We submit that some six months before Mr. Veerabadhran , then one
of the Coach in the Centre had given pressure to the then Stadium Officer
to fix the time limit for the non-competitive members to utilize the Racing
Pool. That time, we have represented to the then Stadium Officer
requesting permission to use the Racing Pool without any restriction of time
limit and he had also obliged for our request and we are utilizing the Racing
Pool so far without any time restriction.

--2-We submit that unfortunately, Thiru Veerabadhran has made his

influence to become as a Stadium Officer of the same Centre and he is
enjoying all the benefits. But after becoming as the Stadium Officer, he
again repeated the same time restriction and put a Board in the Centre that
as per the ORAL INSTRUCTIONS of the Member Secretary, the noncompetitive Members should use the Racing Pool after 7.30 AM in the
morning and between 3.30 to 4.30 PM in the evening. These timings are
not at all suitable to the enthusiastic Regular Members.
We submit that by restricting the timings, the intention of Thiru
Veerabadhran may be to enroll some more said to be the Competitive
Members to enjoy the additional pecuniary benefit . Because, he is having
the practice of collecting a sum of Rs.500/- to 1000/- per student and
employ un-authorized persons as coachers to train the competitive
Members which is against the rulings of the Government and Honble High
Court of Madras. But as the Members of the Aquatic Centre, we feel that
it is the internal departmental issues and hence we are not bothering about
this practice.
But, we the Regular Members are kindly request you to please allow
us to utilize the Racing Pool as usual without any time restrictions.
