Dynamic moments

As far as the desired service life is concerned, loads of up to approximately

20% of the dynamic load and moment
values (C, Mt, ML) have proved acceptable.

The following values may not be exceeded:

The maximum permissible deflection
The maximum permissible drive torque

The dynamic load capacities and moments are based on 100,000 m travel.
However, a travel of just 50,000 m is often taken as a basis. If this is the case,
for comparison purposes:

Multiply values C, Mt, ML by 1.26.

Reduced load capacity in short-stroke

applications
In short-stroke applications, the service
life of the shafts is shorter than that of
the Super Linear Bushings.
For this reason, the load capacities
listed in the tables must be multiplied
by the factor
fw
.

*Speeds of up to 5 m/s are possible. The service life is limited by the increased wear of the plastic material.
Tests have shown that a travel of 50 to 100 x 105 m is possible without failure.

Continuous Operation (S1)

The S1-operation is permitted at nominal speed and nominal output torque. If the gearbox
runs continuously for more than 15 minutes or the duty cycle is greater than 60%, use the
continuous or S1 operation specifications. These specifications are defined as nominal output
torque and nominal input speed. A gearbox temperature of 90 C should not be exceeded.
With an S1 application the motor can overheat the gearbox. Please ref erence motor
manufacturers maximum motor temperature characteristic during continuous operation.

LP-Gear Reducers
1) Clean the motor shaft, the hole in the clamping hub socket, and the bushing.
Also clean the plain surfaces on the motor and the gear unit.
2) Turn the clamping hub socket such that the screws are approachable through the hole in the adapter plate.
Release the set screw.
3) Make sure the slot in the bushing is perpendicular to the set screw.
4) Put the motor (the vertical position is recommended) onto the gear reducer without force.
(see table No. 1 for max. axial load).
5) Screw the motor and the adapter plate crosswise together.
6) Tighten the set screws to the torque specified in table No. 2 and 3.
7) Insert plug into hole in adapter plate.
***Note: Motor Must be Supported when Configured with Gearbox and Linear Module***

Socket and switch are not wired. The switch

activation points can thus be optimized

during start-up. A plug is provided.
The plug can be mounted in three
directions (see figure).

Linear Motion Slides

Switch Mounting Arrangements
0

L/2

For safe operation of the linear motion

slide the overrun must be longer than
the braking distance.
The acceleration distance may be taken
as a guideline for the braking distance.
Recommended standard switch fittings:
- 2 mechanical switches
- 1 proximity switch
Slide mounting plates with switches
into the groove and fix with the screws
and square nuts.

Observe the minimum possible distance

between switches:
mechanical-mechanical = 62 mm
mechanical-proximity =
49 mm
proximity-proximity =
35 mm
Here, the mounting plates must be mounted in
mirror image.

The switch is mounted in the same way

for all sizes:
The spacing for the mechanical and
proximity switches must be adjusted
when mounting the switch.
Depending on the relevant operating
conditions (vibrations, center of switch
stroke), the switch mounting profile may
have to be supported.
