Learning Outcome :

By the end of this lesson students will be able to identify the parts of Alghaf tree.
-Develop the students listening skills through listen to specific vocabulary and write it.
-Explain the meaning of the words (deep, underground, root and branches).
-Represent textual information by drawing.

Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction)


-First, I will ask the students about the previous lessons about the desert and I will give them papers so they draw what
they remember from the last lesson
-The students will discover the lesson tittle by solving the codes, I write only two letters of the title and the other I make
them as faces and each face represent a letter, after they do it they will know the lesson is talking about what.
-I will ask them if they know anything about alghaf tree? Or if they see this tree?..
-The warmer activity is, give each group a paper and real leaves, so they can create heir own tree, then they will stick it on
the board so at the end of the lesson they will be able to lable the tree parts.
The memory game (group work) ( Listening&speaking)
pre listening:
I will give them the instructions of what we will do and how to play and model it to make it easier to understand.
while listening:
The students will focus listen carefully to know what is the word and when they hear it they transfer it to the next student.
post listening: after they finish listening the last student who heard the word he will say it in front of the class and write it
on the board. After they finish writing I will correct the words and show them pictures about all of the words so they
know the meanings.
Reading (whole class)
Pre listening:
give the student instructions and say for them what I expect from them and they have to listen to who reading carefully and
if they find words as the words in the board they have to highlight it. Also focusing is must because we will ask questions
about the paragraph
while listening:
highlight the words.
post listening:
I ask questions about the paragraph they will answer.
Find the missing informations (in pairs) (speaking)
each two students will have two tree pictures with some difference information, they have to complete all the tree parts so,
Student A will say for student B I have but I don't have.and they will discuss to draw and write the missing things.

Guess the word (in pairs)(speaking)

Closing

By giving the students two minutes they will back to the first activity they did and label the tree parts
again.
After that each group will choose a ball, inside each ball different question about the lesson.

Time:

5 minWhole

Each two students will take two papers one only with vocabulary and the other with picture and
definition student A will say the definition and describe the picture, student B will guess what is the
word and he can choose the word from the paper.

Assessment:
While the students are working on the activities I walk between them and set with each group to see if they understand and if
someone is struggling I explain to him or give him an easier activity. After doing that I write in my list who didn't understand the
lesson well so I focus on him in order to transfer the informations to him in easy way he like it.
Reflection WWW/EBI:
What went well is that I mixed groups activities and in pairs in one lesson and the students get exited and engaged in the groups
activity as well as the partners activities, because they like learning by doing and creating things instead of traditional learning only
reading from books.
Even better if I changed the wormer activity which is discover the title from whole class activity to groups activity to make it
challenger.
Next Steps in learning and teaching:
Before each activity I have to make sure to turn on the timer.
Identify each student ability by my self.
Try to raise my voice when it is needed.
