To construct horizontal control network for new control point coordinates system shall be conduct traverse
measurement. As result of traverse measurement will be define coordinate points by using Total Station. To
construct vertical network and obtain elevation points using Waterpass/Automatic level.
Track center Line (Staking out)
In order to construct new track or any movement by track shifting and or raising occured , staking out shall
be conducted. Prior to and after spreading Ballast and Sleeper shall be conduct stacking out. The aim of
Staking out is to determine track center line and elevation. To define Stake out is based on design / drawing
data coordinate. After Staking out shall be conduct rail level measurement to get track elevation using water
pass

Sleeper Marking
Sleeper Marking aim to perform track installation work. For that purpose need to do surveying and marking
of the raising values, shifting values and cant on the sleepers at intervals of every 5 sleepers.

Offset Marking
Offset marking will be used to indicate Track center line and elevation. Marking will be setting out of
clearance gauge in order to do not obstruct the train operation. To arrange offset marking using existing wall,
viaduct slab or tunnel wall (wherever suitable) or install peg at outside of clearence gauge. For straight line
install peg for offset marking in every 50 meter, for curve alignment install peg in every 25 meter and for
transition curve install peg in every 15 meter . To measure trackcenter line using Total Station.
Geometric Survey
Geometric survey carried out in order to obtain track alignment data, horizontal and vertical track alignment.
To check track alignment condition for main line it could be straight line, curve and or Vertical / Elevation.
Geometric survey activity starting of verify and compare Data Design against actual at site which is refers to
Reference Point of PT. KAI.
- Obtain Coordinate and Elevation Points (see the form below)

As built Survey
The as built survey shall be conduct as final survey and carried out after all track work executed. As built
survey shall be done with the instruments of the same accuracy as used in the initial survey. The result of as
built survey performed in As build Drawing submitted to the Employer after approved by engineer.

Safety
All survey activities shall be carried out in such manner so as to avoid, minimize or to prevent injury of personal
and damage of property, both on the site and off the site.
Following shall be pay attention :
During execution the track survey work, assign train watcher which is equipped with whistle in both of
direction.
Wear safety vest with the bright colour in order to clear visibility.
Make sure that you are occupying the proper track in areas where there is double track.
All equipment and tools shall be removed from the site working area so that there is no risk to the train
operation
Do not use steel tape to avoid of short circuit between rails.
Working Time
Track survey work can be done in day time only and no rainy day time during the free of train operation and or
at window time.
Coordination
Prior commenced this work coordination shall be carried out with Train Dispatcher (PPKA) at both of nearest
station. Arrange permittance and maintain keep good communication in order to train operation approach.
