Effective dates
The effective date of submission is the date this form is received by RMIT University.
Financial liability
If you do not formally cancel your enrolment prior to the relevant census date you will incur a financial penalty for your student services and amenities

There is no provision to extend the census date deadline. Census dates are published annually in the RMIT academic calendar. Go to www.rmit.edu.au/
students/importantdates.
If you are an international student in the first semester of your program please refer to the refund categories under the Refund for commencing
international students subheading at www.rmit.edu.au/policies/refunds.
Academic penalty
The dates for the cancellation of a program without academic penalty are also published annually in the RMIT academic calendar and may differ from
census dates. Go to www.rmit.edu.au/students/importantdates.
If you have elected to defer payment of your fees through HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, VET FEE-HELP, OS HELP and SA-HELP you will remain financially

Fee refunds
If you are eligible for a fee refund you may obtain an Application for refund form at www.rmit.edu.au/students/forms. If you are entitled to a reversal of
materials fees you are required to contact your school.
Cancelling your enrolment will affect your student visa. You must contact the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) for visa information
before submitting this form. Contact DIBP by telephone on 131 881 or through their website at www.immi.gov.au.
