When your cancellation of enrolment is processed you will immediately lose your access to myRMIT and Blackboard. Please ensure that you save any

If you are considering cancelling your enrolment you are advised to contact your school and consult your program coordinator.
Enrolment procedure

Detailed information regarding the RMIT Enrolments procedure is available at www.rmit.edu.au/policies.

Effective dates

The effective date of submission is the date this form is received by RMIT University.

Financial liability

If you do not formally cancel your enrolment prior to the relevant census date you will incur a financial penalty for your student services and amenities
fee (SSAF) and for your course enrolments. If you have not officially withdrawn by the census date you will remain liable to pay for your SSAF and for the
studies you have enrolled in, even if you are no longer attending classes.
There is no provision to extend the census date deadline. Census dates are published annually in the RMIT academic calendar. Go to www.rmit.edu.au/
students/importantdates.
If you are an international student in the first semester of your program please refer to the refund categories under the Refund for commencing
international students subheading at www.rmit.edu.au/policies/refunds.

Academic penalty

The dates for the cancellation of a program without academic penalty are also published annually in the RMIT academic calendar and may differ from
census dates. Go to www.rmit.edu.au/students/importantdates.

HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, VET FEE-HELP, OS HELP and SA-HELP information

If you have elected to defer payment of your fees through HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, VET FEE-HELP, OS HELP and SA-HELP you will remain financially
liable for outstanding fees if you cancel your enrolment after the relevant census date. Go to www.rmit.edu.au/students/importantdates.

Fee refunds

If you are eligible for a fee refund you may obtain an Application for refund form at www.rmit.edu.au/students/forms. If you are entitled to a reversal of
materials fees you are required to contact your school.

Onshore international students

Cancelling your enrolment will affect your student visa. You must contact the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) for visa information
before submitting this form. Contact DIBP by telephone on 131 881 or through their website at www.immi.gov.au.

If you have been approved for entry into another RMIT program you must use an Application for change of program form available at www.rmit.edu.au/
students/forms. Do not use the Cancellation of enrolment form to vary your enrolment in this situation.

If you are aged under 18 you must have authorisation from Global Quality Regulation and Compliance Group (GQRCG) before submitting this form.
If you have not completed six months of study in your principal program you must apply for a release letter from GQRCG if you wish to withdraw from
RMIT to undertake study at another education provider. You are generally not permitted to cancel your enrolment in order to undertake study at another
education provider. All applications for release letters must be made prior to submitting this Cancellation of enrolment form. Global Quality Regulation and

If you are a sponsored student or are in receipt of a scholarship you must contact your sponsor or scholarship provider.

Form submission

You must retain a signed copy of this form as evidence of submission. The Cancellation of enrolment form must be submitted in person to the Hub or sent
to: the Hub, RMIT University, GPO Box 2476, Melbourne Vic 3001.
As the University does not take responsibility for forms submitted by post, it is strongly recommended that you use either express or registered post to
ensure that you have proof of the date of posting the form.
