Help new and transfer students find their way around campus
Answer questions that students and parents may have about student life at Oakwood University

VOLUNTEER
MISSION VOLUNTEER, The National Association for the Prevention of Starvation, Huntsville, AL
Travel to various cities in the United States during school breaks such as Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and Spring break.
Assist in the headquarters office with upcoming mission preparation.
Plan and participate in juvenile detention center programs to encourage incarcerated youth and
empower them.
Plan and participate in school presentations to show students the importance of mission work in
their daily lives.
Assist with community outreach programs in lower income communities.
Prepared and served breakfast, lunch, and dinner for campers and staff.

The purpose of the Oakwood University Student Nutrition Awareness Club (SNAC) is to increase student
and community awareness on nutrition-related issues through service learning & community service
activities, and to promote the field of dietetics to the student.

Healthy Campus 2020 is Oakwood Universitys organized initiative to empower students to make healthy
choices. Health Ambassadors play an essential role in energizing others to live abundant lives and to
carry the message of holistic health to their peers. Health Ambassadors are a catalyst for changing the
campus culture to one that is centered on love, health and wellness of mind, body, and spirit.
