Martin Luther Kings Speech ( Enough for each student in groups)
RATIONALE
The skit is a way to hook the students into
the topic that is going to be discussed
(Equal Rights)
The skit should go into depth on not only
this particular part of the Declaration of
Independent, but the document as a
whole.
-
RATIONALE
The topic of equality is important so
students should be able to freely discuss
their thought on the subject
Students will get into groups to practice
their collaboration skills as well as
practice listening to others and their
views
By reading Kings speech, the students
should be thinking about how equality
was then, and how it is now.
The group discussion should expand the
students minds and their thoughts on
equality
-
RATIONALE
The blog will help the learners who learn
best by reading and writing because they
not only read an example about equality
and civic rights, but they will now show,
by writing, what they have learned.
By having quotes and connections this will
allow the writing standard to be met
where students must write in a clear,
concise, and factual manner.
