Hebbronville Elementary has the following goals:

1. All students will reach high standards at a minimum attaining proficiency or

better in reading/language arts and mathematics.
2. All students will be taught by highly qualified teachers.
3. All students will be educated in a learning environment that is safe, drugfree, and conducive to learning.
4. Maintain awareness and involvement of families and community in the
success of students.

Key Areas of Technology for my school are:

1. Teaching and Learning:
Priority Goal: Ensure students use technology that is relevant and aligned with
TEKS standards.
This goal aligns with number 1 of my campus goals that students will reach high
standards in any subject area with the collaboration of effective technological
use in grades K-12.
Objective: Use technology to enrich curriculum standards for student
achievement.
Action Plan:
Priority: High
We will implement technology programs that are cross-curricular that involve
active student participation. The curriculum director and educational technology
team will be involved in implementing these programs at the beginning of the
school term in 2017 with continuous follow up by teacher -input, data-response
from sites, and student surveys through the spring of 2018. Funding in part will
be through technology grants and federal funds.
Objective: Increase student academic achievement of technology applications
over a three year period.
Action Plan:
Priority: Medium
Expand instruction in computer labs to enhance student learning with
technology hardware and applications. Teachers and computer lab personnel
will measure student success by evaluating proper use of computer equipment
and practical research skills through formative assessment within the next three
years.
2.Educator Preparation and Development
Priority Goal: Provide professional development to all teachers in all content
areas with an emphasis on critical/ thinking skills and integration of technology.

This goal aligns perfectly with the second goal of my school. Teachers need to
be updated on the latest innovative techniques both in their content area,
classroom management, and technology so that they can remain effective in
the classroom.

Objective: Increase internal training opportunities for the next three years.
Action Plan:
Priority: High
Coordinate professional development for teachers to be well-versed with
technology programs. The campus administration will be responsible for finding
trainings that meet their teacher and campus needs. Teachers will begin
training as early as the spring of this year and administrators will be attending
training provided primarily through a partnership with Region 1.
Objective: Improve technology applications knowledge for teachers.
Action Plan
Priority: Medium
Administration will ensure the educational technology team meets once a
month with grade level teachers during PLCs to discuss technology applications
and programs that may or may not be working in the classroom. Data received
from teachers will help technology team to collaborate and coordinate with
which teachers may need more help.
3.Leadership, Administration, and Instructional Support
Priority Goal: Create an educational technology team on campus.
This aligns with number 2 on my campus goals because highly qualified can
translate into knowledgeable faculty in all aspects.
Objective: Increase leadership members amongst teachers that are
knowledgeable in technology.
Action Plan:
Priority High
Identify faculty and instructional staff that are knowledgeable in technology
implementation in the classroom and create a technology team. Administration
and educational technology leader on campus will hold the responsibility of
identifying a key member in each grade level. Identification process will begin
January March 2017 and evaluative measures will be based through walkthroughs in the classrooms.
Objective: Administrators collaborate with a technology committee to create a
technology strategy plan for the campus.
Action Plan:
Priority High
Implement a technology strategy plan for the campus based on technology needs
and the campus vision. Educational technology team will be spearheading this
yearly endeavor to meet at the end of every school year. Incentives to participate
will be funded in part through technology grants. Documentation need for the

meeting will be STaR charts for the past four years, current student and teacher
data based on technology needs.
4.Infrastructure for Technology
Priority Goal: Provide better access to technology within the campus.
Objective: Increase connectivity within the campus to support the needs of a 21 stcentury learning environment.
Action Plan:
Priority High
Improve connectivity across the campus by implementing more hotspots and a
wider broadband network. The finance director will be meeting with technology
department quarterly to analyze funds and equipment that will be needed. All
funding will be paid through the bond that was implemented a year ago for
technology advancement for our school. Evaluative measures will be to have each
classroom turn on computers, devices, and boards for a certain amount of time
based on the needs of the school.
Objective: Develop a coordinated effort for each student to have access to a
tablet throughout the school year.
Action Plan
Priority Medium
Create a committee of teachers, businesses, and parents to contact organizations
that would be willing to donate funds or tablets for each student to have a tablet
for school use. The administration will be responsible for keeping track of funds and
plan this four-month endeavor at the end of this school year for the next school
year.
