Job description Job purpose and organizational context Job purpose:

-To define Project objectives in terms of duration and resources. -To pilot the Project status and to ensure the forecast reliability. Reporting lines and interactions:

Hierarchically reports to: Planning and Scheduling Department Manager. Operationally reports to: Project Manager / Project Control Manager / Planning Manager / Construction Manager. Directly supervises (operationally):Planning officers, may supervise Planning and Scheduling engineer L1 or L2. Key interactions (internally, externally):Planning Manager, Project or Proposal team members, Client, Partners, Vendors and Subcontractors.


Must have:

- Two-year technical degree or equivalent with confirmed experience in Project execution. OR

- Engineering degree or equivalent.

Nice to have:

- Good knowledge of scheduling computer tools.

- Good knowledge in E, P, C, I work processes.

- Certification in project management ex- PMI, AACE or equivalent.

Main accountabilities General:

To develop a Schedule compliant with the selected execution strategy.

To plan in order to mitigate risks and reduce costs.

To define and optimize the necessary resources (E-P-C-I).

To define the Planning & Scheduling system (methods, procedures, time-schedules, physical progress, dashboards, etc).


To define for the Management, the Proposal Manager and the Estimation Department a Contract duration realistic and feasible for execution by Technip.


Responsible for the development, updating and maintenance of project Planning & scheduling system (methods, procedures, time-schedules, physical progress, dashboards, etc).

To define the Project Breakdown Structures.

To plan so as to ensure the work fronts at site and timely deliveries.

To plan in order to mitigate risks and reduce costs.

To support Client approval process of the Schedule Baseline by providing accurate data.

To get Client approval of progress claimed or milestones achievement in order to enable invoicing.

To increase Project team members awareness of the Project Milestones, main durations and critical paths.

To monitor and control the project status, to detect any delay and to propose corrective actions in order to mitigate risks and prevent any delay when assigned to project as and when necessary.

To estimate the delay linked with changes and claims and to prepare the Extension of Time analysis, in case of delay due to Client.

To provide Project Feedback and Lessons Learned in order to improve the Planning & Scheduling methods and provide input to the statistics of Planning Department.

To manage the Planning & Scheduling team (if any), mainly on small and middle size projects.

Differentiating criteria


More than 5 years experience in the discipline Project type and Phases At least

- engineering phase for EPC onshore & offshore

- or installation phase for subsea projects

At least

- engineering phase and field for EPC onshore offshore

- or engineering & installation phases for subsea projects
