She has taken every opportunity to learn from numerous teachers and resources in our school, She consistently accepts and implements feedback and suggestions from others, and she also shows a great sense of personal reflection on her teaching practice in order to improve, May 25, 2006—Surimative Assessinent Areas for further growth: kayla has shown growth in many areas during this practicum. She should continue to work on assessing student learning using a variety of techniques and clearly stating to students how theit learning will be assessed. Kayta has experimented with a variety of small group and whole class instructional strategies and should continue to do 80 in future practicums and her career. Kayta should continue to work on monitoring and responding to inappropriate behaviors promptly, firmly and consistently. Ihave no doubt that with continued experience, Kayta will become more comfortable in these areas. Overall comments (Strongest aspects of student’s performance): Kayla shows excellent understanding of the curriculum and translates the learning outcomes into relevant and appropriate learning objectives for her lessons. She is also aware of the different learning needs and styles of students inthe classroom and differentiates to accommodate these. Kayta’s communication in the classroom is clear and appropriate, and she has a strong and positive presence. She demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm and commitment to sludents and their learning, as well as other areas of elementary schoo! lfe. She Is a team player! What | have admired and been inspired by most about Kayfa is her care and compassion for students. She genuinely cares, not just about their learning but also, about their emotional well being and safely. This is so important because if this is not inplace, leaming cannot happen. This quality wil help make Kayla a phenomenal teacher.
