Executive Summary
Jom Tanam Pokok 3.0 is an annual event under UM Cares Secholian organized by Kolej
Kediaman Tuanku Bahiyah of University of Malaya. The theme of this event is Together We
Care. The primary objective of this event is to raise the awareness of the undergraduates
regarding the importance of protecting and preserving the environment as one of the steps to
sustainability. As an entirely student-run event, all the members of Jom Tanam Pokok 3.0 are
dedicated and always ready to serve and contribute to the Mother of Nature. To ensure Jom
Tanam Pokok 3.0 is a success, we would like to seek financial or material support through
sponsorship from your esteemed company.

Introduction
Jom Tanam Pokok 3.0 is an annual event under UM Cares Secholian organized by Kolej
Kediaman Tuanku Bahiyah of University of Malaya which aims to raise the awareness of the
undergraduates regarding the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. Jom
Tanam Pokok 3.0 also collaborates with the Malaysian Environmental Non-Government
Organization (MENGO) in terms of sharing the experience of tree planting, volunteering and
organizing workshops and events.
At the end of this event, all of the crops that we grew from the Taman Secholian Cares (SelfSustaining Organic Farm) will be distributed to the needy as part of our social responsibilities
toward the society. Besides, Jom Tanam Pokok 3.0 also strives to educate undergraduates
regarding the proper techniques required to plant and grow a tree. Moreover, University of
Malaya has always been very supportive in terms of organizing environmental competition
annually to encourage all the undergraduates to involve in protecting and preserving the
environment.

Objectives:
1) To raise the awareness of the undergraduates regarding the importance of protecting
and preserving the environment.
2) To equip all the undergraduates with soft skills such as organizing, structuring a project,
dealing with different parties and capable to perform under pressure.
3) To equip all the undergraduates with abilities to think and solve problems creatively
and innovatively.
4) To ensure that all the undergraduates know the value of the Mother of Nature.

39 committee members of Jom Tanam Pokok 3.0 will be given the responsibilities to take care

Database obtained from this event will be recorded and constantly updated
in the social media of our event from time to time.
The crops that we obtained in the end of the event will be given to the needy.
