Praise God for the students who have put their faith in Jesus at the Maze outreach! Please pray for their faith to grow. Praise God that many students attended the Cru fall retreat and grew in their faith and desire to reach their campus.
About 900 students were at The Maze outreach last month!
Thank you for your prayers for our outreach on September 22nd, The Maze! In spite of some other highly-attended events that happened on campus the same night, here is what we are praising God for! There were about 850 students that attended The Maze! More than 700 of them stayed to hear the Gospel through the testimony of the talented illusionist, Jim Monroe. Of those students 104 indicated on their response cards that they had made a decision for Christ! A few hundred remained after the show to sign up to become potential bone marrow transplant donors through the organization Be the Match. As students were leaving two girls (Anna and Monica) stayed after to tell Jim that this was the perfect opportunity for them to expose their suitemate, Maggie, to the gospel. They had been having spiritual conversations with Maggie and knew that Maggie had been exposed to Christianity when she was younger, but was struggling to believe/walk with the Lord while in college. They shared that during the show Maggie was crying when Jim shared his testimony and she indicated a decision to put her faith in Christ. We havent heard how Maggie is doing since the event, but both Anna and Monica
have gotten more involved in Cru
by attending our fall retreat (Rocky Mountain Getaway) and attending our weekly meetings. Another girl named Ilyssa came to the Maze after she felt like God had showed up too many times to
Please continue to pray for Darci and Baby
Hullah (the due date is October 27th ). Pray for a healthy baby and safe delivery.
Almost 50 students from UNC attended Rocky
Mountain Getaway this year! ignore Him. On Tuesday she was having a spiritual conversation with her roommate when Brett and a Cru student knocked on her door and invited both of them to the Maze. The next day she ran into someone from a different group on campus and was asked some spiritual questions, and on Thursday night she went with her friends to the Maze. At the Maze she invited Jesus into her life and has since started meeting with one of our Cru Community groups and one of our Cru staff. In the next few weeks Ilyssa will be learning foundational biblical truths as she continues to meet with Cru staff along with another girl named Natali who also accepted Jesus at the outreach. Please pray for Ilyssa and Natali as they begin their new relationship with God.
You are a continual source of joy and encouragement to us as you pray and give so faithfully.
