Praises and Prayer Requests

Praise God for the students who have put
their faith in Jesus! Please pray for their
faith to grow and be rooted in the Bible.
Pray for Darci and Baby Hullah. He is due
October 27th Pray for a healthy baby and
safe delivery.

It has been an exciting and busy

start to the 2016-17 school year
with Cru. Our student leaders and
staff team met hundreds of freshmen before classes even started,
Cru Communities (Bible studies)
began and new ones are still starting up as more students see various needs in their area of influence on campus, and we have
been encouraged by the attendance of our weekly meetings on
Thursdays as well as our social
gatherings. However, as we praise
God for all He has done so far, we
praise Him for how He has drawn
students hearts to His own this fall!
At our first weekly meeting, four
students indicated on their information cards that they had made
a decision for Christ! In addition to
these students, two other women
have given their lives to Christ as
well. A Chinese student named
Sue heard the gospel from Emma (an intern on our team) and
received Jesus into her life only
four days before she went home
to China. Emma had set up a time
to see her again before she left,
but there was some miscommunication and Emma missed the appointment. When she realized
what had happened she prayed
and started looking for Chinese
students on campus who might
know Sue. It just so happened that
she saw a couple of Chinese students a few minutes after her
prayer and of those students, one
of them happened to be Sue.

Emma was able to talk to her

more about her decision to follow
Jesus and give her a Chinese Bible
to take home with her. Sue left the
next day. Another student, Kaiu
from Hawaii, surrendered her life
to Christ through tears of joy after

Pray for The Maze, our big outreach,

happening this Thursday, Sept. 22nd at
7pm! Pray that God would use the event
and testimony of Jim Munroe to impact
more lives for eternity! Read more about it

she heard the gospel from Marissa. Behind the scenes of all the
spiritual conversations with students and fun events that weve
hosted for this fall, the anticipation
for one big event has been building and is finally going to take
place this Thursday night at 7PM.
We are hosting The Maze, an illusionist show that features Jim Munroe in the Ballrooms of the University Center. Jim is a very talented
magician who weaves his personal story of being saved from
life threatening cancer through a
bone marrow transplant by a perfect stranger who was his only
perfect match. He ties his story to
Jesus sacrificial gift of His perfect
blood that was given for our lives.
Join us in praying for 1,000 students to attend and many students to receive Christ.
