Introduction (4 min):
Hook/Attention Grabber: Show students 2D parametric curves and 3D Torus-Knot. Ask
the students how they would communicate to create this shape to someone? Explain
how math can be used to communicate this and how it transcends language.
Assessment of prior knowledge: Ask students if they have seen grids before, which way
the x-axis runs and which way the y-axis generally runs.
Expectations for learning and Behavior: Tell students that Mr. Baker is being kind
enough to let me teach his lesson so we are going to show him how awesome you can
behave, right?
Advance Organizer / Agenda: PowerPoint (Complete), bring up models of Torus-Knot in
