Purpose/Objective: To assess students reading skills as it relates to the language of
science. Students will recognize a core of words and interpret their significance.
Directions: Read the word, point to the picture of the word. (1 point per correct animal
identified, 10 points total)
Example: The teacher will model an example beforehand.
