The Arduino Ethernet Shield allows an Arduino board to
connect to the internet. It is based on the Wiznet
W5100ethernet chip (datasheet). The Wiznet W5100
provides a network (IP) stack capable of both TCP and
UDP. It supports up to four simultaneous socket
connections. Use the Ethernet library to write sketches
which connect to the internet using the shield. The
ethernet shield connects to an Arduino board using long
wire-wrap headers which extend through the shield. This
keeps the pin layout intact and allows another shield to be
stacked on top.

Arduino/Genuino Uno is a microcontroller board based

on the ATmega328P (datasheet). It has 14 digital
input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM
outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz quartz crystal, a USB
connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and a reset
button. It contains everything needed to support the
microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a
USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter.

4. Objective / Scope
Write the objective/scope that has been understood from project title and meetings with guide(s) so far. Title and scope of
project must be elaborated in detail. Maximum 500 words.

To help the aged and physically challenged people for cleaning their house and their
surroundings.

By this project we provide the people a smart way of cleaning their house without any
strain.

To overcome the difficulty in finding labours for cleaning the house as the robot is
fully automated

To prevent the diseases spread by the uncleansed environment

Final Year Project Pre-Project Report

5. Expected outputs
List expected outputs of the project in discrete terms. Maximum 250 words.

The main objective of the project is to keep the house and its surroundings clean by which the
man work is reduces and the physically challenged people and aged people will be more
benefited and by having a neat and clean house and surroundings we can lead a healthier life
and can avoid the disease like respiratory diseases and other contagious disease. And by
means of the internet of things and android application this process is made easier and will
not be a big challenge for the house cleaning purposes in the hectic and busy schedule and the
cleaning process is easily monitored and make an easy way to cleaning and save time. Its a
one-time investment of money and no need of labour for cleaning the house and the labours
wages can be saved. This initiative will be implemented in the house cleaning purpose. The
Device will be modified and lot of other features can be added to the device so that the device
will be more efficient and will reduce the human effort. The future proposed the Device will
be able to able to separate the biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and collect them
separately and dump them in the respective bins. The device will have a separate disposal unit
when the bin is filled in the trash car it will automatically dispose the wasted collected in the
bins to the nearby dust bins, there will be a handle type mechanism which will lift and
dispose the waste to the dust bins. When the battery drains a notification will be send to the
master of the device and with the minimum battery level the device identifies the area where
the light is present and by means of the solar panel the device will be charged and will starts
working

6. Utilization
Describe target beneficiaries, target market, potential customers, etc. Maximum 250 words.

For the purpose of have a neat and clean environment in addition with to have the disease free
environment and its the cheapest hardware which will be able to clean the house and the
surroundings clean. Many physically challenged and old aged people will be benefited and
the labour problem will not be an issues and the wages can be saved.

7. Literature study / Data collection

Describe the topics and type of literature studied or collected for study, so as to define the project path and methodology.
Citations are recommended. Maximum 500 words.

Roshan Issac et.al, proposed a methodology a solid waste management system for the
municipality by using android application when the garbage bins in the area gets filled the
RFID tag is been read by the application and the data is send to the central server and the
complaints replacement of the new garbage bins and all other information are registered like
vehicle ID, daily attendance, and daily report etc.

Young-Ho Choi et.al, and other queries are registered and the necessary steps is taken for the
has come up with the an idea of a window cleaning robot which is fully autonomous and
intelligent the system has a vertical position control unit which is like ball mouse type so it is
made easy for cleaning the corner potions by making back and forth motion so that all the
area of the window can be cleaned.

Shubham Thakker et.al, has given solution for the waste management using wireless
technology in a smart way there will a GPS and GSM module which will help in finding the
garbage bins, once the bin is filled it will be notified by the ultrasonic sensors if it fails then at
the bottom 4 load cell is places which will send signal to the gsm module it sends a
notification to the server room and the garbage is collected and made the bin empty for the
use.
Parkash et.al, has adopted the Internet of Things (IoT) in the waste management system the
dust bins are provide with the low cost embedded device.it alerts when the bins are full it is
connected with the internet so that it can be monitored from wherever and whenever there is a
need it can be checked for any of the problem of if there is a false report or alarm of the bins
and after these verification the bins can be replaced and time and ma work can be saved

9. Executed work
Describe in details the works along with the obtained results and deliverables that have been completed until now and how.
Note that very general information about topics is NOT required so try to be specific. The sequence, as already described in
Methodology (Sec. 8), should be followed as possible. Maximum 3 pages including equations, figures and tables etc.

The project was pushed by the detailed literature review where we adopted many ideas and
our schemes were scheduled. A prototype components was designed and more projects were
studied and made our work was modified accordingly. The hardware was analyzed and the
changes are made. Components were bought and the prototype was made and we came up
with new ideas. The vacuum cleaner, mopping and roller system are fitted in the base of the
prototype, the wheels of the motors are controlled by the Arduino microcontroller in order to
turn around.
