Paveway III Laser Guided

Bombs (LGB) are the thirdgeneration laser guided bomb.
The LGB concept, originally
proven in combat in Southeast
Asia with the introduction
of Paveway I, was validated
again during Operations
Desert Storm and Allied Force.
Paveway III LGB provides
optimum operational flexibility
through the use of an adaptive
digital autopilot, large field-ofregard, and highly sensitive

seeker. It adapts to conditions

of release, flies the appropriate
midcourse, and provides
trajectory shaping for enhanced
warhead effectiveness.
When used in conjunction with the
BLU-109 or BLU-113 Paveway
LGB penetrator warheads,
Paveway LGB optimizes not
only trajectory and impact angle,
but angle-of-attack as well.
