Republic of Pakistan, how would it affect the society and community in
Pakistan presently? In your opinion, would it be a great step to bring the
country en route of prosperity?
If Sharia Law becomes the Law of the State; Law of Islamic Republic of Pakistan then
the country will be lost in chaos and disparity. The country will become an all Islamic
state and all other religions will be abolished except Islam. This will cause people of
other religions to perform their worship in secrecy and live in fear of being found.
Because of the strict laws and rules, the society will drift apart and everyone will live in
fear of the constitution and the laws set by it. Even though it will bring societal stability
and will decrease the crime rate, the people of Pakistan will not be happy as they are
not meant to live under such rules and regulations and will rebel against them seeing as
the constitution is very strict on such matters as drinking and gambling which are a
norm in todays society.
