To know the sounds of the English alphabet is very important. We can use it in some situations.
For example, we use it to say the abbreviations of organizations like CIA and BBC, or when

Como estrategia para entender lo que leemos debemos tener claridad de algunos
conceptos.
QU ES LA IDEA PRINCIPAL?
Cuando leemos un texto debemos considerar que no todo lo que se dice en el prrafo o
en el texto tiene la misma importancia. Algunas idea ejemplifican la idea principal, otras
dan apoyo y / o amplan la idea. Las ideas secundarias aclaran y dan forma al escrito.
Cmo definimos cul es la idea principal de un texto?
La respuesta a la siguiente pregunta nos lleva a encontrar la idea principal.
De qu, sobre qu o quin habla el texto?
Para diferenciar las ideas complementarias y no confundirlas con la idea principal
debemos buscar los detalles a travs de las siguientes preguntas:
Qu datos nos proporciona el texto acerca del sujeto?
Cmo se lleva a cabo la accin del sujeto?
En dnde se sita la escena?
Tenemos datos, fechas, graficas, fotos?

WRITING ACTIVITY
Im from Australia and I love Sydney! There are over four million people here, but its never
crowded. Thats because theres the habour with the famous Sydney Opera House and there are
beautiful beaches. My favourite season is summer because of the surfing. Lots of people go to
Bondi beach but on Saturdays I go with my friends to Narabeen beach. Its quiet and relaxed.
Afterwards we go to the centre of the city. There are over three thousand restaurants with
every type of food from Japanese to Lebanese.
