Proposal
Melissa Stebbins

Technology Education is becoming an increasingly important

part of everyday life. It is vital for todays students to develop the
problem solving and critical thinking skills acquired from hands on
learning to become productive and responsible members of our
technologically driven society. This not only means learning
about technological systems and how those systems affect
society but also learning how to use the products of those

PHILOSOPHY
STATEMENT

systems responsibly to better our environment and not degrade

it. Students in technology education classrooms learn innovate.
Students need to be able to express themselves clearly
through verbal and written communications which will help them
to excel in adulthood and become leaders in their communities. I
will be my students guide as they journey through STEM and
become technologically literate while pursuing academic and
leaderships challenges to prepare them for their future and meet
the goals and expectations of the teacher and students .
