Transition: hand out the placemats, paintbrushes, and paper

Take class through the assignment step by step on Prezi (pics


included)
Step 1. Watercolor the paper
Use straight brush strokes across
-THIS WILL ADD DIFFERENT SHADES TO IT
-ONLY ONE COLOR ONLY (RED OR BLUE)
Transition: hand out the trays and add paint colors students want as well as
cups of water (Sharing both of them)
Step 2. Add glitter with paint brush then let dry
Once students completed step one get them to raise their hand and I will
come around with the glitter paint and add a little bit on to their artwork
for them to spread around.

Step 3. Draw a circle with cup on the back of the assignment

Step 4. Add a dot in the center (most important step!)

Step 5. Add North and South lines
Add East and West lines (follow ruler demonstration)
Step 6. Add the in-between lines. Make sure that they do not touch the
sides of the paper.
SHORTER THAN THE FIRST LINES

Step 7. Add the in-between lines. Follow ruler demonstration
Step 8. Connect the lines and add name
-raise hand when finished and we will inspect
Step 9. Cut out the drawing
Step 9. Turn over artwork
Step 10. Follow folding instructions that I will say out loud.
Once folded see teacher and we will help with the last folding step
Show how to do last more complicated folding technique

Attach string to the assignment so that it can be hanged on the billboard
