We welcome you to St. Thomas Institute of Management and Technology (STIMAT) in Songea.
This college (formerly Cum Laude college) started in 2013 with Provisional Registration under
NACTE in Njombe region. The college relocated to Ruhuwiko within Songea Municipality after
acquiring a new Campus. It subsequently underwent additional evaluation and got upgraded to
Fully Registered category in October 2016 by National Council for Technical Education
(NACTE). Our registration number by NACTE is REG/BTP/008.
The following are necessary conditions for admission:
1. DECLARATION REGARDING COMPLETION OF THE COURSE
All candidates confirming acceptance of vacancies in this Institute must undertake to
complete the course unless required to do otherwise by the Institute. Please sign the relevant
sections of the enclosed form of Acceptance of the Vacancy and Medical Certificate.
Completed forms must be returned to the Institute (STIMAT) during Registration
2. MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Admission into the Institute is conditional upon a satisfactory medical report being received
by the Institute. Students are therefore asked to undergo medical examination by registered
Medical Practitioners. Use the enclosed form which should be brought with you duly filled
and signed. Students, who report to the Institute without their medical reports, will undergo
medical examination at their own expenses before admission into the Institute.
3. REGISTRATION AND COURSE COMMENCEMENT
The first batch registration will start on 28th November, 2016 and the courses will commence
on 5th December, 2016. If you cannot report on these dates for any reason please, inform us
immediately so that we reserve your position in the next batch.
4. WHAT TO BRING
(i)
Two recent passport size photographs;
(ii)
National Form Four Certificate and/or Results Slip;
(iii) Leaving Certificate and any other relevant Certificates supporting your qualifications.

5. DISCIPLINE AND DRESS CODE
Students admitted to STIMAT are expected to observe and abide by the students By-Laws of
this Institute, Examination Regulations or any other lawful orders given by the Management
of the Institute. STIMAT does not prescribe uniform to prospective students, however the
officially dress code is smart and respectable.
6. FEE STRUCTURE PAYABLE TO THE INSTITUTE
Mode of Payment
All fees should be paid after obtaining and invoice from the Registrars Office. Fees must be
paid in the following modes before qualifying for registration. Under special circumstances
and after receiving written commitment from your sponsor, STIMAT may allow further
flexibility in payment mode.

Part One
I accept the admission as a student for the year 2016/2017 to pursue the Certificate/Diploma
Course in Business Administration/ Community Development/ Records, Archives and
Information Management/ Computing and Information Technology at St. Thomas Institute of
Management and Technology (STIMAT) in Songea.

Institute for the entire period of the course unless I am dismissed by the Principal or any other
person holding authority duly given to him by the Governing Body of the Institute.
