Major General, U.S. Army Reserve
Commanding General, 95th Division (Training)

Robert C. Hope was born at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, March 27, 1934. He
graduated from Henderson State Teachers College with a BA and a
commission as Second Lieutenant, USAR in May, 1956. He joined the 379th
Infantry Regiment, 95th Infantry Division in 1956 and has served in various
reserve units ever since. He became Assistant Division Commander, 95th
Division (Training) in 1981 and assumed command of the division in 1987
and promoted to Major General, USAR.

General Hope is currently the national president of the Reserve


Officer's Association (ROA).

In civilian life General Hope is the Rehabilitation Assistant Deputy


Director, Division of Rehabilitation Services, Department of Human
Services, State of Arkansas.

The 95th Division (Training) has its headquarters in Oklahoma City,


and its units in 28 cities throughout Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and
Texas. The division consists of four Infantry Training Brigades, an Artillery i
Training Brigade_ a Training Command, a Leadership Academy, a
Reception Battalion, and the Division Hq. and Hq. Co. which includes _

The division's mission upon mobilization is to move to and establish an


Army Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and conduct Basic Training
and Infantry One Station Unit Training for newly inducted soldiers.
Additionally the division is to augment and expand the Army Field Artillery
Training Center, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma conducting Artillery One Station Unit
Training for inductees.
