Suzuki Motor Corporation designs and manufactures passenger cars,

1920. Suzuki then entered the motorcycle business with the introduction of
Power Free motorized bicycle in 1952, and entered the automobile
business in 1955 with the introduction of Suzulight minicar. Suzuki is
committed to use its amassed technological expertise and all other available
resources to help raise the quality of human life in society by promoting
corporate growth through manufacture and supply of socially demanded
products.

REAL LEADER OF SUZUKI

Michio Suzuki was a Japanese businessman and inventor, who founded the
present multinational motor corporation Suzuki. He began the company in

October 1909, originally as the "Suzuki Loom Manufacturing Company" he


was born in 10 feb 1887, under his leadership the Suzuki is now become a
giant corporation in autoworld. He died in 27 oct 1982.

PAK SUZUKI MOTOR COMPANY


Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMCL) is a Pakistani affiliate of Japanese
automaker Suzuki .It is the Pakistani assembler and distributor of cars
manufactured by Suzuki and its subsidiaries and foreign divisions.Currently
Pak Suzuki is the largest car assembler in Pakistan. Most vehicles are
produced and sold by Paksuzuki including the Mehran, Bolan, Ravi, Cultus
and Swift are sourced from Suzuki Japan that do not confirm to modern
automotive safety or emission standards. No vehicle assembled by Paksuzuki
offers airbags to date. The company's first assembled models of Suzuki Fx
even lacked left side rear view mirror as standard option, side vents for air
conditioning and rear window defogger and the same model has been in
production since 1988 with very minor cosmetic changes.
The firm was founded in September 1982 as a joint venture between the
government of Pakistan and Suzuki Motor Japan, formalizing the
arrangement by which Awami Auto Ltd. had produced the Suzuki SS80 from
1982. Suzuki originally owned 25% of the stock, and has gradually increased
their holding; they now own 73.09%.Pak-Suzuki was a joint venture between
the semi governmental Pakistan Automobile Corporation (PACO), who had
earlier overseen local assembly from kits. Pak Suzuki is the market leader in

Pakistan Automobile Market by having more than 60%(December, 2011) of


market share. Lacking serious competition, Pak Suzuki has had a market
share of more than 50% since its inception and has complete monopoly in
the small car segment. Apart from giving automobile related services like
Suzuki Finance and Suzuki Insurance, Pak Suzuki also deals in Pak Suzuki
Certified Used Cars.

The project is about to check the front and back stage operations of the Suzuki
dealership and we selected the dealership of Suzuki defense motors that is situated
in Plot No. 145, Phase-I, Defense Housing Authority, Main Korangi Road, Karachi. It is
a very fine location the facility is very good and they have quite enough space
where they are offering their services to the customers. Approximately they have
more than 250 employees working in the total dealership.

OPERATION AREAS OF SUZUKI DEFENCE MOTORS


There are numerous operations in the dealership as they have

CAR DISPLAY AREA


An area is occupied for the display of cars, where new models are being
displayed for promoting and attracting customers. In this area customer can
check the new models.

SALES TEAM OFFICE:


Another operation area in the Suzuki Defence dealership is the sales team
office where customer can gain further information about the cars and
booking process. It consists of 8 sales personnels.

SERVICE ADVISOR COUNTER


It consists of 10 employees. In this operational area customer will be guided
for the all repair and maintaince works. Any suzuki model can be repair in
the dealership whether it will purchase from there or not. Service writing
work is also conducted in this area and they will collect price for the service
of the vehicle.

PAINT SHOP
They also have a paint shop in the dealership. It is basically a customization
where any customer who wants to change the color of the vehicle can
choose the color it comprises of 3 employees.

Consolidation and acquisition of dealer groups by those with very deep
pockets puts them in strong position to own their markets.

Especially in seasons like Eid, New Year and new model arrival sales would go
to boom and it will also affect the service department.

GOVERNMENT POLICY
Unstable political and economical factor would have been a problem for us.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
This is also a very big problem for them to control their inventory
management because of upcoming models, variant, design.

A CONSTANTLY SHIFTING MARKETPLACE


Dealership is all about analyzing competition so we have to know what our
products are doing, what our competitors are up to, AND keep an eye on the
used car market too. There's a lot to pay attention to, so if you screw up and
miss a shift, you can lose a lot of money fast.

After two months we deliver car to the customer.

Consult with service advisor counter regarding the problem
Then a mechanic will overlook the vehicle to diagnose it
Then service writer will register the vehicle along with the
problem, estimated time and repairing cost.
If problem is short then customer can wait in a waiting area near
service department.
Customer can leave the vehicle in working hours and take it back
at 6 pm.
Their service department is also offering that a person is taking
the car from the house and gives it back after repair, if customer
is unable or busy.

After repair the service advisor counter creates a log of customer


in their software for future offerings.
