Body
Show it, Dont Tell it!
Today we are going to work on showing your writing, instead of
just telling it!
Showing what you are writing. 5 senses:
If you are writing about your first chocolate from your advent
calendar. Would you write it was good?
No, you would write:
My advent calendar was taunting me for two excruciating long
weeks. Every single time I walked into the kitchen, I saw it
staring at me in the eyes. The anticipation of the first chocolate
was eating me alive. When I finally tasted the chocolate it was
smooth like butter. Its aroma had hints of orange and it hit my
nose like a wave of goodness. My taste buds erupted from the
sweet flavor. It was a light brown color with a pattern of a Santa
clause on it.

Does it have a smell?
What does it feel like?
Is it big, is it small?
Is my bag like on harry potter where it is an endless bottom?

choosing who will be sharing and if I call your name you have to
write something down.
Pull out a popsicle stick
Have four people share. Maybe separate the popsicle into
