Responsibilities as Proposal Engineer:

Complete and thorough understanding of the requirements of tender, scope

and clear limits of work, as explained in the Tender Documents. Specially
related to storage tanks fabrication and erection work.

Compiling a detailed list of queries for clarification on ambiguous and missing

information.
Visit sites and attend pre-bid meetings arranged by Customer, if required.

Clarify all queries from the Customer through written and documented
communication through the Manager Proposal.

Compile and prepare BOQs covering complete scope of work.

Provide necessary help to Manager Proposal for the preparation of technical

proposal.

Run technical proposal to check accuracy of all results and also prepare a
comprehensive and accurate commercial proposal.

Transfer final price into Customers format.(If Any)

Help Manager Proposal in replying to post bid clarifications, if any.

Continuously contribute, in an effective manner, in the development and

improvement of Companys bidding system.

Keep an eye on the authenticity and updating of all costing data / factors
provided by various other departments of the Company

Responsibilities as Project Engineer:

During performing my duty in the department of Proposals (KHALID JUFFALI INDUSTRIAL
COMPANY) I performed also as CONSTRUCTION MANAGER at the site of Azmeel Contracting
Company for the complete erection work of THERMIL ENERGY STORAGE TANK CAP.6000 M
near Jubail Industrial College, Jubail.

Subsequent to the award of the Contract by the customer, receives following

job documents from Project Leader and responsible for carrying out all
subsequent activities necessary for job execution within budget, according to
drawings & delivery schedule.
i. Drawings & Technical specification if any
ii. Contract Copy.
iii. Budget.
iv. B.O.Q
v. Material procurement plan.
vi. Material Issue Requisition.

Receives following documents from welding engineer,

i. Weld matrix (WM),
ii. Welding procedure specifications (WPS),
iii. Qualification of welding procedure specification,
iv. Welding consumables estimation.

Forward the estimated consumables and tooling to Store for arrangement .

Responsible for subcontracting of such jobs which are beyond the scope of
Production or uneconomical to fabricate at shop.

Monitor progress for project on weekly basis.

With Quality control, shop supervisor, third party and the Customer for testing
as per QIP.

Hand over the final move order of the completed job to Project leader for
onward shipment to Customer and afterward arrange loading / packing if any.

Own Companys Core & Operating values and ensures their implementation.

Built up close liaison with Production, Store, Quality Control and Project
Management for smooth execution of Project in line with the Customer
requirement.
