1. Clear understanding the Scope of the Survey within the team
2. Plan your activity and calculate the time required (No of days and Night stays)

Identify the best possible tie in location


Get the as build drawing of the existing piping system
Verify the support arrangement of the available piping system with respect to the as-Built isometrics and record the deviation
Identify the support type in the existing piping system up to fixed support (On either side of the Tie In)
Record any huge gaps and un-functional support (lift off or disengagement) in the piping system
Record any abnormalities like vibration, leak and unexpected disengagement of support, flimsy support member etc. in the live
Talk with operation and maintenance team to get more detail of the current working system as well to know the history of the sy
If possible collect photographs and video of the existing system in and around the identified tie in and other possibilities of tie in
