WELCOME
to the FMVA STUDIO CRAWL
The members of Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists invite and welcome you to our 13th annual
Studio Crawl. Whether its your first or thirteenth time attending, theres always something new
to take away from this large-scale community art event!
We encourage you to help celebrate and connect with our local artists by visiting them in
their studios. Dont be shyask questions! If youve ever been curious about the inspiration,
technical, or creative processes that go into making art, the Studio Crawl is an excellent
opportunity to actively investigate and learn. Art is much more than just the final product, and
the Studio Crawl helps you to experience it!
Look through this brochure and youll find a talented mix of emerging and established visual
artists to visit this weekend, along with special events hosted by our supportive sponsors.
FMVA is a nonprofit organization that continues to grow in providing art opportunities for
our regional visual artists, patrons, art enthusiasts, and communityincluding exhibitions,
professional development, critiques, visual talks, social events, and networking opportunities.
Volunteers run the organizationboard members, technical support, and members
who coordinate education, communications, membership, professional practices, and
programming committees. These dedicated and generous individuals help FMVA support the
arts and artists, partner with community, and provide artists with a collective voice.
Your participation in the Studio Crawl and other FMVA events lets us know our
efforts are successful. Thank you!

A large part
of my work
consists of
photographic
illustrations
where I paint
digitally with
layers of
photos that
I have taken
all over the
Midwest. I
also create
illustrations
and continue
to add new
pieces to Alphotory. Come join us in our studio
and gallery space (next to Junkyard Brewery and Old
Lutheran), see our latest work, and learn about our
various techniques. This year we will demonstrate our
newly learned photo encaustic techniques.
