1. Why are you entitled to accept this scholarship?

Being in a college is my responsibility to my parents. However my parent graduated only in senior high school, they
dont want their first daughter become like then and entered me to college. Being here, in Sepuluh Nopember Institute
of Technology Surabaya wasnt that easy. So that, with the struggle from my parents to have me studied in here, why I
cant give them a feedback for my parent. Yeah, in my case now, the only thing that can been see by them its my grade
in every semester. We are in mid-class family as you can call it. At less we can fulfill what is the basic needs. My life
in college not as easy as the others, thats why I should be truly studied even though I have a lot of work beside my
study. I am an active person in my organization. I have a lot to do when the time is finished for studying. Sometimes
when I fell so tired, the only things that make me realize I have to go back, struggling for my studying is my
responsibility to my parents and scholarship. I have to hold my grade in state above 3 point 0. From what I though,
having scholarship is the only way to make my parent not too worried about the tuition. At least their burden getting
lighter where my brother is entering the 2nd year of skilled high school in automotive field. With this scholarship, I also
can prove to my father that I can focus on my academic while there is so many work to do which is sometimes forced
me to come home late and less sleep. Since in Elementary School, my father always joined me to scholarship selection
and I got that. In Junior high school I got scholarship from health institution for my achievement. Then in senior high
school I got the scholarship from the company where my fathers work. I want my brother to pursue my way of getting
excited of looking for a scholarship to help our family. Now, when Im in my third year of my studying I have to
prepare on my graduation soon. When Im graduate from ITS, I hope my brother can continue the studying here too,
because of my parents age that is not young anymore, I though its my responsibility to guarantee my brothers school.
Have a good occupation, go success and make my parents proud. By the dream like that, so I should have good record
in college, one of them is being in scholarship program. It show that what I have done here till now is a good way and
nothing to regret if I have done wrong.
2. What is your planning after graduated from University?

When I graduate from university, Im going to looking for a job in power plant field. I know something that has to be
my attention when searching for a job. Nowadays is AEC, where everyone from another country are going to be my
rival. Everyone will show off all what they can do to provoke the company executives to recruit them to be their man.
So, before Im looking for a good occupation I have to prepare myself to compete with others. The basic one is
studying of language. Language is the only one to us to understand each other. For this case, English is a universal
language for all the jobseeker must good at. So when Im in my last year in my college, Im planning on study English
until I got TOFL score above 550 where now I just get 501. I also plan to study another language. It is German and
Japanese. Both of them will follow me when I get a job related to machine. I also have a dream to study abroad in
Japan. But it will happen when I get a scholarship for Magister program. I will search for those program and apply to
it. If I pass, then I will continue my study, but when I dont, then I just want to help my parent, replace my father who
will retire from his job. I will also studying another skill base on my field like weldment or programming on CNC.
Another thing that I will do when I graduate is proving to entire people out there that a woman can be engineer like
mans do especially in mechanical engineering. I will show the others that mechanical engineering its not all about
automotive or oil. Mechanical engineering have a wide field. What I have to do being an engineer for Indonesia is
saving our natural resources especially in energy that will provide Indonesias energy for a long time. We concern in
alternative energy. I am as an engineer will dedicate my knowing to help Indonesia to be a developed country that will
have a good power to face the world changing.
